Run in with a '02 Camaro SS...

Me: '01 Cobra w/ tri-ax and O/R xpipe
Him: '02 SS M6 w/ K&N

I rolled around with him for a little while. On our way to the access roads, we talked a little. He said he went 13.7, at some track near lubbock...up in the high elevation. When we got to the access roads and no one was around we went from a 20mph drop. He honked it off and we both hit it at the exact same time. It was dead even til the 1-2 shift, during the shift I put a fender on him. He stayed a fender back all through 2nd. Then 3rd came and during that shift he dropped to half a car back. He wasn't a bad driver by any means. I think I was just hittin them just a little quicker. He stayed half a car behind until we shut down at the top of 3rd. :D

On another note, I was screwin' around with a buddy in his black '01 Cobra vert. We semi-raced once but he didnt drop gears until after the third honk, and by then I was 3 or so cars ahead....and I threw flames again on the 2-3 shift!:) I wouldn't call that one a race...Im just pretty stoked about throwin some flames again.

...since I made up the most ground during the 1-2 shift, after our run, I told him good run and he goes, "yeah you've got a little stronger bottom end than me..". Wow :eek: did you just try and tell me that my 4.6 has more power down low than your LS1. haha.

I raced an '01 Cobra and he held pretty good with me, if the car didnt have a fast shifter and wasnt a freak from the factory, then I can see it getting beat by an '01 Cobra. Good kill!

I live off of 98th and Quaker on Orlando street. It will take me about 15mins to swap tires. We could meet at the Target across from Midnight Rod. off the loop in about 30mins.
