"Drive By" Gun Range GTG 5/18 at Alpine Gun Range

I'm alright with Alpine. Can someone find out what there rifle range is like and what ammo they allow? How about in a couple of weeks?

The max pistol range is 50 yards. The max on the rifle range is 200 yards. They have a shop on the property that sells all kinds of guns, reloading equipment and ammunition. They allow any ammo, you can bring your own or buy theirs...you are firing into earthen berms. All of the ranges are outside. Range fees are $8 typically with no time limit unless they are really busy. Alpine is located off of Business 287 in Fort Worth / Kennedale. Couple weeks is fine with me.....

Geoff has a 23, you should PM him and see if he is coming or not. Me and EW have 27's so you can try those out as well. Personally, I'd go with the 27 :D

Does anyone have a small set of Jewlers screwdrivers they can bring? I need to adjust my sights.

Just FYI if you plan on bringing a rifle. They will not allow FMJ ammo on the range for rifles.

Today was tons of fun. Had a great time going out to the range to shoot.

You guys should've stayed until I shot the SAR1. It is LOUD between those concrete walls. I have to get that thing sighted in. 3 out of 20 rounds hit the paper at 50 yds. I knew it shot high and left but it is rediculous.

Had a great time yesterday, just wish it was a little cooler and not as crowded. First time going to Alpine and it's a pretty nice facility, I like the fact that they had an air conditioned meeting room with tables were people can take a break, most outdoor ranges I've gone to don't normally have anyplace for shooters to relax. Wish I would have spent some time browsing around the store, looks like they had a lot to look at.

Hicompression, very nice meeting you and it's never a problem shooting up some of my ammo; I should never take anything home :D Look forward to seeing you at some of the GTG's and don't forget about the Pappa's Car Meet this Saturday.

ALLAN, glad to see you'll be hitting up the gun range with us now. Nice choice of hand gun to ;)

EW, as always it's nicing hanging out with you. Wish we could have stuck around but I failed to tell my GF that we were going to an outdoor range so she wasn't dressed for the weather (to warm). Plus it was her first time shooting and she was shell shocked a little. I'll make an effort to bring the 10/22 and a rifle or two for our next outing.

Jose, remind me next time and I'll bring my 22 revolver and/or my .357/38spl for her to shoot. We can get some 148gr wad cutters that are easy to shoot. We'll have her pushing you out of the way to shoot your Kimber.:)
