Drove Abex's LS1 last night [Archive]

He was nice enough to let me drive it home yesterday from the Garland GTG.
I have to say those LS1's are fast stock, but thats the only thing i liked about it. Looks, interior, dash, gauges, radio, just didnt do much for me. Maybe im just use to the Mustang. Anyone else think this about the Camero's.
Oh, the seats were nice though. It was difenitly worth what he paid for it though.

Yes, it's definatly nice for what he paid for. The seat were comfortable though. I didn't get to drive it, but I was a passenger for a bit...it's nice:D

Coming from my car it is. :p But that LS1 killer of yours i hear has problems with it. lol

2 Cammer, Engine builder taking a little longer than expected. They had to order me a new timing chain tensioner.
I did get the intake though. Just waiting......and this weekend i have duty (USMC) so i wont be able to work on it.

Yea, the GTG wasnt posted so there wasnt many cars there yesterday. That silver Z was an auto. He didnt stay long. I think abecx had the fastest car there. :mad:

You should come to the Wed Garland GTG. Many cars there for you to race.

Man I am out at lots of gtg's. Iam not gonna go chase you down just to race. I got over that in High school. I like to keep it on the track, that is where it belongs. :rolleyes:

No offense man, but you walk around here talking like you have the fastest car in the world, So you beat a few bolt on gt's, doesnt mean anything to me. go to the track, and make some passes, that shows your driving skill, you make 330 to the wheels, on bottle, so that should be good for some 7.8's or better.

you make 230 to the wheels on motor, well I went 8.45 when I had 230 rwhp.

If you want I can put a bottle on my car, and talk some shit too. :D :D :D :D :D

Thats ok, i will be cutting, mid to low 1.6 60's :D

Plus I will have another 700 rpm of power band to rev threw, so hopfully I will see some 86 mph passes, and some 7.9's

Time for the track more often for me :( .....tonight made me realize how incredibly stupid street racing is (fun sometimes) but tonight i got my 4th street racing ticket and i look back like tonight and was racing some stock hatch :( and get pulled over.....on a road that is known in mesquite as the only safe place to race...shows that it isnt anymore!! :mad: As much as i hate the track, time for me to grow up and learn to like it!! :(

Got 2 at one time while spectating in my toyota :(.....court is set for may 16th on those, 2nd was racing down towneast and paid a lawyer, this is my 4th and i will be paying him $100 this time for the one on the 16th and the new one!! :( The suspension is going to have to wait now!! :mad: :mad:

damn my car has no low end power with these over sized heads. cause i was doing 8.29's@87mph on nittos friday night. :( and a best of 12.81@108mph with a whopping 1.98 60ft. OH BOY!!!! :rolleyes:

been there, dont that like aftermath. radar wont do shit at the races, for the same money as a valentine1 or escort8500 you can get a real nice scanner and pay someone to program it(if you dont know anyone pm me and i can arrange something) but keeping it at the track is a good idea, especially after school lets out and the streets get flooded with newbs borrowing dads car:( :mad:

what size nitto dr's and what psi due you set them at the track? i run 1.8 60fts on my 275/50/15's and would be glad to help

well right now with having to shift af 5600, I am getting 8.1's@85

That is with a 1.67 60' though. :D

I just setup the suspension, and I am getting new valve springs, so maybe I can rev it now. We will see.

A radar detector might have worked because he told me that he clocked one of us doing 71 on that road which had a 45 mph speed limit but didnt know who was doing 70 cause we both saw him and stopped so we just got racing tickets!! :mad:

same size that you run and i was running 15-16psi. i think most of it was my fault sense it was the first time for me at the track on those tires and my last run i launched at just under 3grand and it bogged.
