Raced a full bolt on 2002 GT

Me vs full bolt on 2002 GT. His mods include: Longtube headers, offroad h pipe, magnaflow catback, 410 gears, steeda tri-ax shifter, upgraded throttle body, bigger maf, 03 GT heads, bored .030 over i think, maybe .020 over, and dyno-tuned.

First run from a roll (http://www.centexfords.com/files/brianvsandyroll1.AVI)

This run i started @ 2800-3000 rpm's. Not in my powerband, but it only took a second to get there, and begin pulling.

Second run from a roll (http://www.centexfords.com/files/brianvsandyroll2.AVI)

This run i started @ 4200 rpm's. Right at the beginning of my powerband. You can tell the difference! :eek:

Third run from a stop! (http://www.centexfords.com/files/brianvsandystop2.AVI)

We went from a stop also, him on nitto drag radials, and me on my bald street tires. I Knew he was gunna pull me instantly off the line, cause you need a good 6k launch on some sticky tires with the 01 cobra motor to keep in the power range. I just spun like crazy, and didn't have enough room to reel him in. :(

This GT is fast though! He ran a 13.2 without the addition of the 03 GT heads, longtubes, maf, and dyno-tuning.

My car also has the damn "check engine" light on. I gotta get the car re-tuned and get my lost HP back from this. Maybe on the next tune i'll pick up some more ponies since the motor is broken in now! :)

they're not. a PI head is a PI head (99-03).

I've got another 2002 GT you can run if I can ever get it dyno tuned. You'd beat me currently as I cannot get it above 2000 RPMs without it going extremly lean. Its N/A, no nitrous or a blower.

Its a GT....I am putting the UPR Pro Series rear suspension package on. Haven't been able to find any catbacks that will run over the Anti-roll bar. So currently I am running Mac Pro Dumps, didn't really want two empty holes just sitting there.

Its not that fast, just loud. Haven't really done all that much to it.

In a word Perfect!!! It was the last saturday that ennis was open in december 12/14.


I was ripping off consistant 13.15-13.18's all day then hot lapped and Launched the piss out of it against a yellow C5 vette. I really surprised him as he ran a slower time but got a hole shot on me.

I think the car had a 12.97 in it but I gave up for now.
