I'm getting this error whenever I try to add any music to my Play List.

Musicmatch crashed and every since then I've been able to add any music. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I get the same error. Any idea's? I'm about to hit up the Musicmatch website and see what kind of support they offer online.

my initial thought would be a registry key is keeping you from being able to add music,

since you said you uninstalled and reinstalled, not sure about music match i do not use it. But if your are good with computers and know about regedit... unisntall music match, then then check HKLM and delete any reg keys relating to it (music match).

otherwise, i would go to muisc match's website and check it out (actually it would not hurt to do that first anyways)

thanks
trey

I'll be checking out Musicmatch's website while I'm at work today but I was hoping that the uninstall would have cleared the Registry entry's but since I still have the problem it's obvious it didn't clear the Registry entry. If I can't figure it out I'll do another uninstall and go into HK_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE and manual delete the entry's after backing up my registry. Or I might go as far as doing a restore from last week. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Deleting the Registry Key's did the trick. Thanks everyone!

Another fix would've been to just use Windows Media Player 9 :p

Jay, does Media Player Player 9 do ID3 tag look ups? One of the things I like about Music Match is that I can set it up to search for the ID3 tag of a song and I don't have to screw around with manually inputting it. Looks better when playing burned MP3's on the Aiwa ;)

Aye that Media Player 9 will do ID3 tagging on it's own? If so I'm upgrading my box at work tomorrow :D

Personally I dont like Music Match. I hear good things about it but I just dont care for it. It seems to want to take control of every type of file and it locked up on me several times. Maybe it is just me.
