Most of the time if I click on a link while using IE my computer will freeze. When I end the task I am prompted to report an error to Microsoft. This error contains something like this:

C:\DOCUME~1\SDANIELS~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER3.tmp.dir00\IEXPLORE.EXE.mdmp

Any Suggestions?

Thanks,
Scott.

Depending on the version of IE, you might be able to use the repair function, goto control panel, then add/remove programs, double click Internet Explorer and see if it gives you the repair option.

MSFT has an SP1 for IE v6 available for download. Give it a shot...

It's late and this is a quick answer as opposed to an overall analysis...

There are a couple of things that I think could be causing this. If you recently installed any new programs one of them could be causing a conflict with IE, restoring WinXP to a previous point before your problems started could fix it. Two, it is also possible that some how you received a virus. Run your anti-virus and see if you come up with anything.

Installing all of your Windows and IE updates and defrag your harddrive will not hurt either.
