Once you have opened the file click on the file tab and select save as. Then once you have selected where to store the image at the bottom click on the file format and select jpeg. This should save the file as a jpeg format.

ya i tried that, but it only gives me two options. Bitmap or ART. The pic has been resized could that be the problem?

That could be. Check with Abecx. He can have you upload the image to his site and re-size it for you. See if you can change the format without re-sizing it.

Open it up in MSPaint and then click "Save As" from the file menu. Then you can name it whatever you want and choose what kind of file you want it to be.

the pic is on the corral and i tried to save it directly from there to my comp and it only gives me the same two options. if i give the pic to AbecX in its original size as a ART image could he resize it as a jpeg?

Give me a link and I will try it. I'm sure he probably could but send him a PM and ask him.

The easiest way to do it is this....

After you've saved it, locate it in the directory you saved it in. Right click on it and open it with "Paint". From there "save as" and change the file type when doing so.

YOU ARE WELCOME! :p

The first thing you're doing wrong is using AOL :p j/k
Not really. :D

But there should be a setting in the options to dissable ART, which should theoretically allow you to save images in whatever native format they were uploaded as. Otherwise, you can only save as ART, or as Bitmap.

It's a setting in AOL's options. I have no idea where it is, it's been over a year since I've dug through AOL's options, and I wasn't really paying much attention at that point :D The last person I knew using AOL stopped a while back.
