shared video memory sucks... i got an app that needs 64 to install.. but the laptop i have only has 63, and the bios will not let me allocate 0 to video, has to be 1, 2, 4, or 8. And the program wil not go through setup without the 64... p.o.s

thanks for listening to me whine.

try typing set and seeing if you can trick windows into thinking it has more memory then what you have. I've done it before, to fool a program into thinking I had nt4.0 in 9x.

Its like set memory=128 or some lame crap.

hmm.. it does not give me an error when doing that from a command prompt, I even tried adding it to the autoexec, but no luck.. damn program must have a brain (or was written in linux ;) ) or something.. It still sees 63...

thanks anyways AbecX!

I have a 64mb ram chip that I can let you borrow or sell to you for a laptop.
