Because his protest was disrespectful and very tacky. A lot of the other people who spoke out didn't exactly speak out against the war but rather in favor of a peaceful resolution. And sadly enough what I remember from the Catholic church is that if you pray for peace the answer is war. And besides who is he to say that this war shouldn't be fought? Does that mean that when people are being murdered almost to the scale of Hitler's genocide that someone shouldn't stick up for them?
