Are you saying that you know that you run 77-78 in the 1/8? And you don't know what your ET is for the 1/8? :(

i am saying that my et isnt what i want it to be but i see people in person and on this site running that mph and a much better et, so i was wondering what i should shoot for and then how to do it that i'm not doing now

What is your E.T. Probably somewhere in the low 9's range. If your only cutting 2.0-1.9s on drs then your probably spinning which will cause your "higher mph" What are you launching at? How do you shift? auto or 5 spd.? Lots of variables to weigh including driver skill.

Heck I ran a 9.1 @ 81mph with a 2.1 60ft. and no tire spin. I was on street tires, but didn't feel or hear the tires spin. With an automatic with a 2500 stall. Try to figure that one out?

Hmmm, maybe because you SUCK! ;) :D

On the same night, I got tickets for 8.90@81.1mph w/ 2.15 and a 8.68@81.9 w/ 2.05.

Driving skill plays a big part.

with the new clutch and steeda tri-ax going in monday i think my driving skills will improve dramtically, but i never thought they were that bad to begin with. i see 96-98 and a few 99-01's with the same mods(boltons/full exhaust/cai) running 9.3-9.7 all the time at kennadale, so i thought i was doing good.

Driving skill is a big part of it. Like someone told me to get quicker times, "seat time, seat time, seat time".

First time to Ennis with my 01 Cobra. I was like everyone else, thinking, this is going to fun and easy. First every run was like a 14.5@98 w/2.4 60'. I think the best I was able to do that night was a 14.2@99. I kept improving my skill, until I was running 13.70s @ 101 with 2.2X 60' still completely stock. Nothing was changed except for my driving ability. For me traction was a major problem, trying to learn how to get the power to the ground without spinning. The crappy 245 street tires didn't help much. I bought a set of Nitto 275/40 DR for my first mod.

I am not a great driver. I am sure DarkPony or other people could have broke into the 12s with my car with the mods I have, while I am stuck in the mid 13s.

i have always been under the impression that if you get a good 60ft(2.0 or under since im on DR's) then that means you are a good driver, now i am hearing that is not true, care to elaborate??? i usually shift at 5400rpm on 1st-2nd then add 200rpm each time now that i have the cobra intake. what do you think or does 60ft the only thing you have to do to be a good driver besides power shifting which i will not do on my 101k mile tranny.
