Well I went out to see what I could do @ redline.. Very Nice track btw, Any Way The head wind sucked bad it was like 30+mph .I ended up w/a 7.504@92.3 mph which sucks because that is what I did last year w/heavy ass saleens up front. ???? IAnd my mph was down 3mph I guess the wind is a factor...

Sleeper True, Ls1's love it when they pull up next to me :D :D
I had 2 ls1's before this car and by far it is much more fun beiing the underdog.

If you build the rear end, don't just stop at the axles and a girdle......TRUST ME!!!! Go ahead and get an eaton.
I put axles in mine, installed the girdle and blew up the trac loc my very next trip to the track. At your power level, 1.5x 60's should be no problem. I have averaged 1.70x for the last 20 trips down the track on mine. I have also found that launching at 6000+ is not recommended!!! I think for the future until I get a stronger clutch, I am launching at 4800-5000.
Good times especially with the head wind. 10 mph head wind costs you about .1 seconds of ET.

Was that you with a guy named "D" who took the pics of my yellow and black Capri? If so, would you email them to me?
I thought the track was hooking great. Despite the suck-ass headwind, I ran a best ever time of 6.00 @ 112 mph. Also had a best ever 60 ft. time of 1.33. I guess high 5's would have been in order without the wind.
Rob.

the SS ran 8.7's at 83mph with a 2.1 short times. i left at 4pm and the staging lanes were packed! i got there at noon and got a couple of DECENT runs in. i redlighted once, fell asleep once and got squirrley once.
i am torn between modding the SS and just running my GT as it sits with some sticky tires. The GT will probably run 12's with traction.

Very nice numbers! It makes me realize I need some practice.:( My best on a similar motor combo was 8.8 @ 91-92mph, I think there's a little room for improvement...

Would you ask D to send those pix to me. I gave him my email address at the track and he said he'd send them. Or, PM me and give me his email or phone and I'll contact him.
I know he took some b/c I saw them in his camera.
Are we talking about the same guy? Kind of big with a tongue piercing. Said he drove a lowered mustang.
thanks.

The 8.8 was on slicks borrowed from ProStarPony. On drag radials I was averaging aroung 9.2. I'm a hopeless cause.:(
She pulls like mad from a 60 punch though.;)
