I believe Ozzie from HPP has the one of the fastest if not the fastest N/A 2V around.

Ok, please qualify what you are looking for.
1. N/A daily driven car with street tires?
2. N/A all out drag car?
3. Power adder either SC or Nitrous?
Your question is almost as vague as "who has the fastest 'STOCK' LS1?"

i believe there are a handful running nitrous or boost that run mid-high 11's at 113-120. i'd bet that jay (leda) is probably capable of more but i don't know if he's been to the track. he has a forged bottom end, ported heads, and a T66. i know he was trappin 118-120 on the stock shortblock/stock heads/and small boost. i haven't seen him post in a while though.

Check this thread out over at the corral. It lists by year and power adder or not. I am on the list hopefully soon at #25 on the 99+ NA 2V 1/4 mi and #11 on the 1/8 mi. If he updates it any time soon.

That is totally vague, that can mean anything from first time off the dealer's lot to having a heads and cam.

We are hoping for mid to low 11's n/a. But we have taken alot of weight out of the car. You could drive it on the st all day. It just runs on 93 octane. But it is set up for a class. We will be runing the big bore 2v in fun ford @fla this weekend. I'll let you know how it runs.

My car is mid-11 capable. The driver, however, runs 13s.:o

That blk Lone Star Car was running 6.8 in the 1/8. That should be a mid 10 second car.

I would like to see the time slip for that. I have never heard of that car going that fast.

Yeah, go back and find the 99+ 2V na list and you will find me at #24 on the 1/4 and #11 on the 1/8 mi. Once you go realize that all of the cars ahead of me are running heads, cams and longtubes, I have to ask "who's your daddy?". I am seriously thinking of adding the heads, cams, and longtubes just to put those pussies on the coral in their place........too bad my wallet won't allow it right now!!:D

matt, letherneck still has you beat. he ran an 8.1 in his with fewer mods than you, but he did have 4.30's. you are runnin strong in your car, so is flowjack. now that you broke your rear i'm scared to put slicks back on. oh well, i plan to do 31 spline/eaton rear in the next few months.

Marcus, if you plan on doing the eaton, go to drivetraindirect.com or randy's drive train. I bought my Eaton for $305. cheapest I found it advertised in any magazine was $435 and locally was $369. with shipping, 3 quarts of gear oil, and modifier, it was $350. Axles were $239 and diff girdle was $129.00.
As for letherneck being faster, i am sure he is with 4.30's and power shifting. comparing some of my time slips with BJ when we are running side by side, I have determined that not power shifting is costing me almost .3 seconds in the quarter and a little less than .2 seconds in the 1/8th. With the way I have been driving the car and taking the best of every measurement, the best it will run is an 8.203 in the 1/8, and a 12.966 in the 1/4.
I still don't beleive some of the MPH they are posting on the corral. some have fewer mods than my car and are trapping 105? they must have 4.10's or higher which I think would help my car but who knows. My slicks are a good bit taller than my stock tires and the car feels sluggish at the track. maybe 4.10's might be in my future if time and money are good.
I too after breaking the rearend am scared especially after spending what I just did on the car. I am going to take it easy for a while and maybe go to ennis some time in march. i don't feel like wasting the clutch on the 1/8 anymore. If I am going to race, it will be at ennis shooting for 12's.
ozzie

aggie with the 4.30's you will run quicker for sure. But your car is running real dam good for what it has. 12.9 is good.

Thanks ozzie, hopefully sometime soon I might come by and pickup a set of blower cams from you. I haven't quite settled myself on regrinds yet but it appears they are OK.
I know they will probably only net 10rwhp without doing the heads and longtubes but hey, every bit helps at this power level. Eventually, I will put a vortech on the car so it will go with future mods and sound pretty cool to boot.

When my wonderful Mustang Shop rear end blew up 30 feet from my parking garage, i also checked DrivetrainDirect and talked to one of the techs there trying to figure out a good setup, and frankly, they were more expensive than i imagined. A fully built 31-spline, 4.10 geared, Eaton HD 8.8 was $1900 , i cant remember if thats before shipping or not.
Now you know how i got to feeling , its hard to launch hard or do anything now after you replace expensive parts. You also gotta remember some of those guys on the corral race in the east, with those mineshaft level tracks which have great prep work.

11.7 @ 113
Aggie, I have never power shifted my car, and I have a stock long block TB to oil pan. The last time out when it was still N/A was at Denton, I ran an 8.1 @ 83 in 1500+ DA. That would have been a 105+ trap in the 1/4, so it can be done, even in hot/muggy Texas weather.

Don't know what my 1/4 time is but i am pushing 405 rwhp soon to be 430rwhp as soon as I get my lazy ass to alabama to tune and get my new goodies :D
It is a vette killer by far!!!! 1/8th mile time was 8.34@87.317. That was with a shity r/t and spinning the first 100 feet

Not shooting any hate your way....all is cool. I have been damn close to 8.1x in the 1/8 but I just don't have any mph. If you look at my dyno graph, the car just falls flat on it's face after about 4000 rpm on torque and about 5000rpm on hp. My guess is it is running too rich as the a/f ratio goes richer than 13:1 after 4000 rpm. I think a true tune is in order for this car but after this weekend, I am convinced I don't want to waste any parts on the car searching for that magic .1 seconds.

I call bullshit. Are you saying you ran 8.1 stock? No bolt on's including NOS? Stock!?!? I have a hard time beliving that. I may be wrong, but I would like to see a gt straight from the showroom to the track do that. If it does than my 405 rwhp Vortech V2 SQ powered 4.6 must be slow as hell. That also includes the LS1's I have torn up on the track also.

actually your car should go faster, ET wise and mph wise. there are 4 guys on here that have run 8.10-8.30 in the 1/8 with their 99+GT's. they all just have gears, slicks, weight removed, and simple boltons.
my car has trapped 84.xx in the 1/8 and that was my first trip out with the new motor. should trap 85 with more practice. i am NA and only make 287 rwhp with my 4.6 2V. with your 400+rwhp you should be trapping atleast 89-91 mph in the 1/8 and running in the 7's. slap on some slicks and keep practicing.

It's absolutely possible to get a bolt-on gt to do that....a showroom floor Mustang on showroom street tires....no way.
<------02 GT - 243 rwhp 3:73's, h-pipe, catback, cai, slicks, lots of seat time - 8.3x@82mph

MustangJohn, I never said anything about being stock. I had an offroad H, pulley's, C&L MAF, Spintech mufflers, 4.30's, dyno tune by Dmann, slicks, and weight removed. With those mods it dyno'd 253rwhp.

Lethrneck, I am right there with you with 3.73's and I don't have a Dmann tune or the C&L.
Best I have done is an 8.21 with is just knocking on the door of 8.1x. I too dyno'd at 253 and had weight removed.

Yeah, driving it like I hated it netted me broken rearend!!! I have been a little timid as of late to really beat on the car and the Cruise to Kennedale showed that a bunch. I honestly think if I could get the car to lean out a bit and stay above 13:1, it would run much better on the top end. If Worse comes to worse, i might go to 4.10's since my ET streets are taller than the stock 275/40/17's by a good 1.5 inches. With 4.10's I think the car would pull much harder in 2nd and 3rd and really get the rev's up in 4th for the quarter mile. I think I may go with a super charger later so 3.73's made more sense back when I had the gears done. All in all, I think I am done racing for a while until the next big power gain comes along which may be a while.
