Tweakd and I put my UPR upper control arms on I have had for two years... yes I finally decided to put them on! Anyways, the traction is amazing compared to before. My worst 60 foot was a 2.26, and it felt SLOW. My first two were 2.0s, and my third was a 1.95:D Not great, but not bad for a heavy ass car with 17" tires;) My best pass was a:
8.03 @ 98.98 with a 2.03 60 foot. My 1.95 60 foot pass was much better till about the 400 foot mark, then I hit third too hard and drifted it through the traps off the limiter. It still ran a 8.05 though on that pass:) My last two passes were off the limiter in second and part of third through the traps on and off the gas. Damn traction went away bad when the weather cooled and sun went down. All-on-all it was a bad ass night. It is much more fun to be able to get the car to go down the track without steering away from the walls the entire time.

All runs were made on pump-93, which is about 40 HP less than 104. My previous best 1/8th was a 7.9 @ 97.7 on race gas, so the new T/B netted me the difference in race gas plus 1 mph+. whatever 1 mph in the 1/8th is equal to. Oh and the car was about 120 lbs heavier than it was with the previous best.:p

Oh yea, I forgot to add I took second in the Domestic Dominator shoot out too...:D I had the slowest car, or second slowest, and I made it to the finals with a ton of luck, and not so good driving:o

Those are damn good times with those 60's! Slap some slicks on and watch it get even better!

Why don't you at least put some DR's on the car? With decent traction I bet that car would trap around 105. You could also say your ET was faster than a stock Mustang with GT40 heads and an E cam:)

Yea I was on 315/35/17 Nittos at 19 psi...

I know the times aren't that great, but considering my car's history, they are serious new bests for me:o Those passes would have all been in the 11s @ 130ish, due to the fast that my car hooked at about the 100 foot mark and not the 1/8th. Well the last two never hooked till I hit the brakes;)

Mike, what kind of Chevelle? Was it out there last night?

I didn't see them heat the line, they were just spraying a ton of water and having everyone drag it up to the line:rolleyes:

You need to put some real tires on that thing and see what it will do. You were all over the place all the way down the track on the runs I watched. Congrats on your win. BTW, I was the guy in the 35th SS.

Matt,
I don't think he was their last night. I work with him and he usually runs a yellow belly. It's a 67 Chevelle with a big block and nos.

And why would you think I would be a good race for him? I was barely beating my friends Stock Vette...:( In fact I lost to another friend's stock Vette twice.

My car is no fast in the 1/8th, I was just trying to learn how to launch it on the 17s. I am in the process of trying to find some nice wheels/slicks, but no one seems to want to sell any, or don't have shit to sell.:o

He runs about the same speed in the 1/8 as you. It's just a bbc with a hydraulic cam and edelbrock box stock oval port heads.
