Is there any way to blow up a picture and focus it to read something? thanks

Anytime you increase the size of a bitmap picture, it's going to blur, or expand the pixels. So no, not really. There is a fractal compression software out there, that theoretically allows bitmapped images to be scaled to just about any size, without any loss of image quality. It's a plug in for Photoshop.

I've never used it, so I can't vouch for it. And it's been a couple of years since I saw the press release for it, so I dunno what the name of it is. Might have some luck doing a Google search, for something like "fractal compression plug-in for photoshop".
