Flying over Frisco

I go to flight school out of addison and I was flying over....I believe frisco.....and I saw this huge runway with no activity. I asked my instructor about it and he said it was closed. Well it is at least 8-10k ft long because it was going to be used for small jet traffic.....turns out there were huge houses in the area that didn't want the plane flying over there houses at night.....but they are actually real far from the runway....could never hear "anything" say like a car or something. Anyone out in frisco know about this place

that's not going to work, cuz there's a new fire dept just built off that same road.
