*Need input for next GC2 GTG Event* [Archive]

The Dec and January GTGs were held on a Wednesday night. I need to know if a week night is working out okay for everyone or would you like to try a weekend day/night instead for February.

I know some of you have school or live to far to come after work for a week night event. I also realize some of you work on weekends or have other family things to do.

So, post up what would be best for you and we will see how the majority looks and then decide on the date for the February GC2 GTG.

Some ideas for us:

Another week night - Tues-Thurs
A Saturday evening
A Sunday afternoon (Maybe a show or bowling).

Let me know your thoughts and/or suggestions for a place to have the event.

I suggest Fudruckers in either Lewisville off of I-35 or at another location if there is one. No waitress and great atmosphere! :cool:

I like the idea of Sunday afternoon. It's a great day to cruise out to something like this and, during the day, we might actually get to see each other's cars. :p haha! Of course I'll be at it where/whenever. ;) Thanks as always Linda!

Monday night, Tuesday night or Friday nights work best for me. Daytime during the weekend is definately out, as I am ALWAYS busy on weekends. :o

Maybe we should do just one more week night since the weather is still kinda crappy and then starting in March - do a Sunday afternoon. Any other suggestions. I think a little cruise on a Sunday after we eat would be awsome.

Oh, and Monday sounds like a nice night. There are NO other regular gtg's on that day. Lord knows I could use a beer and a burger after a Monday. :p

Okay, if we do a Monday, it will have to be on Feb 17th. Monday the 10th is Gerald's birthday. We have been shooting for the 2nd week of each month, but that would be the beginning of the 3rd week so we wouldn't be off course too much.

Otherwise, if we do another Wed, it could be Feb 12th. But Feb 17th would give more time and notice for everyone.

Then March should be warmer and we can try for a Sunday afternoon, maybe March 9th. (2nd Sunday in the month).

What's everyone think.

Sounds wonderful Linda. Moving it around a bit will ensure that the ladies who have tight schedules can fit it in once in awhile. :)

Again, I will be getting my mailing list completed soon. When I do we can put the date on the newsletter and who knows just how many will be attending. :eek: :)

I dont think I'd make it on a monday. :( But if yall maybe have it around someones b-day and she can make it out. I will try to make it for her.:p So,I guess the 12th or 17th wouldn't be to bad..

Monday the 17th isnt do able for me. Im not 100% yet. I volunteer for a lot of on call (its amazing what you'll do when you like your job) and Joseph's b-day is on the 18th. So let me see if I can cram in the GTG somewhere, Linda. There has got to be room in my schedule somewhere. ;)

Hey girl! We're still trying to figure that out. :o LOL! :p I'm going to try and get the location information this weekend and we'll get a whole new thread going w/the final plans up this week. Hope you can make it!

Welp, I THOUGHT that Fudrucker's was on I-35 but it was on I-75. :mad:

Soooooooo.........What night and place to meet? There's a Chuck's on I-35 in Lewisville. (Hebron & I-35 by Vista Ridge) They're inexpensive, have great parking, and make yummy carhop style food. :cool: Any other suggestions? There's also a Hooters across the highway (Mmmmmmmmmm....!!) Let's hear it!
