I went ahead and d/l'd version 1.2.1 ... not keen on beta testing, and want a stable version to see if I'm going to like using it.

Anyway, I see it still doesn't render CSS properly, just by taking a quick visit to Lethal Death. I might can get past that, because the tabbed browsing is kinda cool. But I'm running into a bit of an annoyance ...

I've got an MS Intellipoint Explorer. Has left, right, wheel, and two thumb buttons. I normally use those side buttons to move back and forward, rather than right-click > Back (or Forward) ... or hitting the top back/forward buttons. With Mozilla though, it's not doing that.

I also d/l'd Netscape 7.01 to test out before I complete my format ... haven't installed it yet, but I'm going to try that here in a few. I'm hoping Mozilla 1.3 will have better CSS support?

I went to lethal death and it looks just peachy on mine. 1.0 version of mozilla. Perhaps its just something with the beta? Netscape uses Mozilla as there base model. As far as the mouse stuff is concerned, I dunno, but I have this thing called mouse gestures installed w/ mozilla and I just click the mouse move up and then right to go back and up left to go forward, kinda like a video game, its pretty cool.

Well, I just tried Netscape ... don't like it much. They work the same (obviously), but Netscape just has some funkified stuff going on with it.

Oh, as for the CSS styles, here's what I'm talking about:

http://www.lethaldeath.com/Archives/netscape.php

The top picture is viewed via Netscape, while the bottom is viewed in IE. The one on the bottom is how the front page is supposed to look.

Also, if you click on the Crimson Celluloid link, there's a background watermark in the main section ... if you scroll all the way down, and then back up, the image is cut in half (or however much of the image scrolled off the screen, is gone). And no change in scrollbar color either. Just little thrings mostly, but little things that are annoying.

And man! This text area to type in is tiny. :)

And where can I get Mouse Gestures? Is it Linux specific or a Mozilla plugin?

Just d/l'd Mozilla 1.3a ... the back / forward buttons on my mouse work (good) ... but CSS just got funkier (not good). On that Crimson Celluloid page, when you scroll the page ... the image just stays stationary  It ain't supposed to do that :D

I'm looking through the bugzilla page to see if anyone else has reported it. If not, I'm going to after I finish up my reformat.

And another question ... mail. How do I enter a password for my email providers? I set up an account to test out, and I can't connect to it, because I can't find anywhere to enter a password. Only a POP/SMTP server, and a username.

Jay, if it is the tabs that you like in Mozilla, you may want to try a browser called "MyIE". It is what I use here at work and at home. I have never been a big fan of either Netscape or Mozilla. MyIE has the tabs that you are talking about, which is cool, and it also renders CSS.

Rock on! I'm testing it out as we speak. Pretty slick. Thanks for the link man.

What I used of Mozilla was agreeable, but the shoddy CSS implementation right now isn't going to work for me. If they fix that, I may start using it again.

K, MyIE kicks ass. It's just an all around better IE. Tabbed browsing is just the beginning.

Again, many thanks for the link!

Lots of cool little features, I like the popup killer and skin support.

Holy crap, I just installed mozilla on my NT4.0 box at work, jesus this thing HAULS ASS compared to IE. The tab feature is kicking ass to because we have a lot of web based tools ( try about 10 open at a time  ). The only problem I have having is similar to what you were having issues with, I have a 3 button mouse, with no scroll thingy, and I can't mid click and get that up and down arrow. Kind depressing :(

edit: doh, forgot CANT instead of CAN, hahah huge difference.

So is it safe to assume it's better on Linux? :D
