Peer to peer for linux??

Damn..i am also having sound issues..i have to turn my speakers up alot even when the computer volume is up all the way...i have also checked all of the other volume levels and they are set reasonably high...damn linux:D

They have an old kazaa linux client that is console only, I dont think anyone has made a GUI client because you can run the windows one via wine.

As far as your sound is concerned, have your tried running the mixer application to turn up the other settings? Let me know.
