monitor helP!!!!!

i have a compaq presrio 700 and like i said beforethe screen broke and cant see anything out of it now!!!! so when im here at work i just bring my hp pavilion f50 screen to hook it up with the compaq....well this morning i plug it in and the there is like all these different colors on my hp screen but not on my laptop screen (i can still see a little of my laptop screen good) i just want to know can i do anythingto fix all of these colors i barely can see what im typing!!

Perhaps the svga out connection is having issues, thats not good if it is, do you have another monitor you can try it on?

nope not at this moment....but later so you think the screen might be bad????????

I think the output port on your laptop might.

Don't forget the possibility of the cable having problems.

Bent pins etc..

well i pluged in the monitor to my desk top and its fine it just does it on my laptop...
