I know a lot of you hate console or just get confused by it, so perhaps this will help, I havent personally used this application, I just saw it when I went to Freshmeat.net, basically it helps you install linux source code downloaded in bzip, gz, compress format.

Console is cool!

People still ask me why i drop to console to do file ops. Because its alot fast than using explorer and doing drags and drops.

One of the main reasons I LOVE/WORSHIP linux, I can do way more console commands. Being able to control your computer from the prompts is just such a HUGE advantage, my hands type faster then my mouse can move.
