On a 3 day split would it be better to work the Shoulders on days that you work Legs, Bi's and Back, or Chest and Tri's?

Slow down on the legs bis and back killer! If you are using proper intensity on your leg workouts you shouldn't be able to do much either before or after them.

I work shoulders with legs. And then work back and bi's on a seperate day. Then chest and triceps on a different day. Its easy to interchange any parts on that schedule except for biceps and back since the biceps do a lot of work in the back workout....

no no no. It looks wierd the way I posted that. I have a Chest and Tri's day, and a Legs day, and a back and Bi's day. It looked liek fomr my post that I did the legs and back and bi's on the same day. oops.

For a three day split I'd recommend a push/pull/legs routine. Workout 1 would be chest, shoulders, and tris. Day 2 would be lats, back, and bis leaving legs for workout 3.

Legs get their own day in my workout.

i agree with aaron. if you do legs hard enough you shouldn't be able to do anything else. right now i'm doing: workout 1-shoulders, chest, triceps workout 2-back, biceps, traps, 20 minutes cardio workout 3-legs, calves, lowerback. i do abs at home 5 days a week. i do each of the 3 workouts above twice a week so i'm workin out 6 days a week right now. i usually change my routine up every 2 months.

i train with the push pull method , i train push exercises one workout and pull exercises the next , as for shoulders i train them with back they usually require a push exercise ( military press ) and they also require a pull exercise ( pullups) i,ve found with the soulders ya need at least 3 movements to hit the shoulders .

military /dumbbell press for the frt head

pull ups/bent over rows work the rear head

side raises work the center of the head.

W press ( sometimes called ARNOLD PRESS) is a good multihead exercise.

i,ve also found if you use good form and slow your movement spend down you can work other muscle groups in one exercise.
