Was anything decided about a Plano GTG?

I'd really like to meet some of you North Dallas people. There seems to be alot of us that live around the Frankford/tollway area. Lemme know whats up !

The LS1 group used to meet at Park/Tollway a couple years ago. Over in the Kroger parking lot. From what I understood the cops never said a word because no one did stupid crap like peel out, etc. :rolleyes:

That's a long haul for me but I do head up there quite a bit to recover from living in the ghetto. :p I'd be up for a road trip if it led to a REAL car gtg. Get the party started Steve. :cool:

sheeeit, that was back in the day, i think my car was a 4x4 and had 17`s back den!


Would be up for another CAR oriented GTG, pappa`s is fine, but its not car focused like Sonic used to be.

well heck, what about the sonic in frisco, they seem pretty laid back. its about 4 miles north of 121 and preston, on preston. or another place. yall post up ideas. im game, ill come up with some more if yall cant think of anyplace. hey strokd, you live just down from me, any thoughts?

LOL @ Sherman. Thats a LONG drive even for those of us in North Dallas. As much as all of would like to meet you fellas in Sherman area I seriously doubt anyone will drive that far for a lil GTG. A track event is one thing but not a lil GTG.


Nic - I'm definetly down with starting something here in North Dallas area. The Sonic at 121 & Preston wouldnt be a bad idea at all. If we can get some suggestions for what night I'll go and talk to the manager there at Sonic to make sure its all good with them.

XL - Personally the Chucks idea is a problem waiting to happen since there was all the problems from the last one.

So lets put our heads together and come up with a night soon that we all can GTG and BS about cars and meet new people as well.


Note - This is not a GTG for street racing or any related activites. If this is your intention dont even bother posting up or showing up please.

Good work here Steve! :cool: Let me know if you want me to tag along w/ya to talk to the mgr. See what all the options are, specific parking areas, rules, etc.. I personally can't STAND Chucks and I've never had anything but good luck w/shindigs at Sonic. It should be a good time. :cool: I miss Thurs. night car hop gtg's. :( It's my main night free and a nice break up before the weekend.

I can do Friday night or Weds. night. Mon-Tues are really out for me on a regular basis.

Cool Nic..we can ride out there to talk to the manager whenever you have some free time. My schedule is WIDE open right now so I can do it anytime. Should we wait to see how many people are intrested before driving out there?

how about 7:00 tomorrow night (sat), at the sonic in frisco. im trying to talk marla into going as well, but ill be there. lets post up so we know how many to expect. so EVERYONE post on here if your going or thinking about going. it is on preston road, north of 121 a few miles, its on the right if your coming up preston. it is about a mile south of 720 (main). anyone thatneeds even further directions, pm me or ask on here. see yall then.

Not sure how Saturday will work out. Alot of people including myself will be out at the GTG in Garland/Mesquite. They had a pretty big turn out last week so I'm gonna check it this week.

I was kinda thinking of making this a GTG for during the week maybe a wednesday or thursday nights. I think Thursday would be a good night for a GTG for all those people on the board who arent alchoholics :D :p

if we are going to do a gtg tonight in the plano/allen/frisco area, and the sonic in frisco wont work for some people, then lets decide on another place. it was mentioned in the other similar thread that the closed down kmart in allen off of 75 might be a good idea. also, what about stonebriar mall?possibly park and preston, say the target parking lot, or somewhere else thats there. or the sonic on coit just north of parker road? if were gonna do this tonight, lets all decide on a place and make it happen.lol, as long as it doesnt rain. if your gonna come tonight or wanna come tonight, post up on this thread or the other plano gtg thread, and lets set it up, say around 7 ish., post up if you wanna be there wherever everyone decides, but lets make this happen.
