View Full Version : Who is ready for FATTY NIGHT at the gym?
It's the first new week of the new year, the first day a lot of people have been back at work...time for the new year's resolution crowd. I hate this time of year...
"Hey are you using this machine?"
"No, I am done it is all yours..."
"Don't forget your donut..."

Make sure you bring a towel, them resolutioners sure sweat alot...
I'm all for beginning a liftime of fitness and will help anyone genuinely trying to make a difference, but 90% of these people are just there under the notion that by paying for a membership and "playing around" on these cool machines, they'll be Adonis in no time and never have to workout again. Once the realization sets in that you actually have to work and even modify your lifestyle to make improvements, they'll hit the door runnin', not to be seen until next Jan 1 with an extra 10lbs. They should do us all a favor and give that money to charity, it might actually do some good that way.

I was bowled over by the stench of cigarette smoke at the door to the gym yesterday. Un-fricken-believable...

Now, I am not as hardcore as Al P, but I would like to lose my "extra 10." So I have found a plan that I like and am sticking to it. I go to my Apt. gym for the treadmill/weights. Last night there was these two fat ass dudes in there working out. I was cool with it until they started sitting , no HOLDING each other after they worked out to watch the TV that is in there..I don't think I have completed my workout that fast ever.

I don't go to a gym anymore. I workout at home, but I sure remember those days. Hordes of rather large people in the gym strutting around without a clue as to what to do. I commend them for trying and getting the gumption to go, but they need to take advantage of the trainer and get a clue before they hurt someone or themselves. Oh well Im sure it will all have died down by March. :)
I went to the 24 hour on Old Denton, and that place was like crickets. Granted it was 8 pm, so maybe I missed the rush, but there was no one there. GOOD :D
I played racket ball, and did a chest workout with Tiny Tim, and Cheryl, and we were out of there. I did see a few unsuspecting new members trying to figure out how the bike works:D Wont be seeing them for long :D

When I was going to the gym regularly I always hated this time of year - packed with clueless people until march. If you go at 5-6am it's usually not crowded with newbies.
Eh.... i've fallen off of the workout wagon so I guess i'm one of them now LOL.....

LMAO.......... I didn't make it to the gym last night because of a bunch of BS left over from me being out of town all weekend but I was there right on schedule tonight. ;) There were TONS of the "fatties" in there hoovering & sweating all over the equipment and weights. I NEVER laugh at those people or even look at them funny but tonight everytime my eyes caught one with a rim of sweat around the collar of their shirt I kept hearing this voice in my head saying "donuts" over and over again. :D A couple of times I couldn't hold it in and a short burst of laughter came out. :o
One of the many reasons I prefer to go at 11-12 at night...

Man, if only I had a job where I didn't have to be at work by 8:00 every morning.:o I love going late at night obviously for the same reason you do which is there isn't a crowd. I have tried it a few times but if I go any time after 7:00 or so, I will be awake all night long because I get so wired up.:(
There is a solution Kevin... kick your own ass more. ;)

<---If I workout after 8pm I am up all night too, even if I bust my ass. Last night I was at football practice busting my ass until 10:30 pm or so, couldn't get to sleep until midnight.

Thanks Al,
I had nightmares last night of some big dike bitch with long dark hair and a blue top kicking my ass. My god that was one funky looking bitch. Anyway, thanks for the workout . Im gonna talk to Chris as soon as he gets back about switching Gyms, I might even go and talk to the people at my gym to see if they will just switch me cause its so friggin crowded.
Heck that is what I would do, just get them to switch you. Then you guys can come over and look at the T&A display...LOL
