I finally got out this weekend/Monday to do a complete detail of my car. I started with a good wash then used a clay bar to get that silky smooth feeling http://64.81.114.233/ubb/biggrin.gif Then it was time for Zaino! Boys and girls I'm telling you this stuff is unbelieveable! I've never used any wax or polish as good as this. The leather treatment and cleaner is alone enough for me to become a Zaino freak but the main product holds up to the hype, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:
Zaino'd cars can be used as mirrors! (http://www.cadenzadesign.com/images/zaino)

Well not this weekend because of MMCM, and next weekend I'm drinking myself into a drunken stupor to celebrate my 24th birthday, so hows week after next?

well I did have other things to do other than detail my car ALL DAY. Tang350 hasn't completely gotten me to submit to the world of detailing.... but I'm on the edge http://64.81.114.233/ubb/biggrin.gif What I did was this:
1) Washed the car with that neat mit I got at MMCM a few weeks ago with Mothers Car Wash, including top. Zaino suggests that if you have any wax on your car to wash it with Dawn dish soap to strip the old wax off. Time : 1 Hr.
2) Cleaned all exterior pieces, ie windows, mirrors, plastic parts, rubber moldings, etc. Time : 20-30 min.
3) I then Clay Bar'd the car with a Mother's kit. Time : 1-1:30 Hr.
4) Then I applied the Polish Lok (Z-1). Allowing it to dry according to instructions for 30-45 min. Time : 1 -1:30 Hr
5) Downed a few beers. Time : 15-30 min (Depends on how many are cold in the fridge http://64.81.114.233/ubb/biggrin.gif)
6) After the Z-1 is a haze I applied the Polish (Z-2) in a LIGHT coat. Again allowing this application to dry 30-45 min per instructions. But I found our horrible humidity didn't allow the polish to dry for over 2:30 - 3 Hrs! Time : 3:15 - 4:00 Hrs.
6a) While I waited for the Z-2 to dry I detailed the interior with Zaino's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (Z-10 and 11). Armor All'd the Vinyl rear seat (Ford can really be cheap some times!) dash, and rubber moldings.
7) After Polish dries wipe it off with a 100% Cotton towel (not 90 or 95% but 100% http://64.81.114.233/ubb/wink.gif). Time : 30 min.
8) I went back and reaplied some of Mother's show touch up detailing spray. Time : 15 min
So in all Total Time : 7 - 9 Hrs
I spread it out over two days, but it was well worth it!

I did it by hand, I don't trust those newfangled gizmos, that and I don't have the $$$ for a buffer http://64.81.114.233/ubb/biggrin.gif Doing it by hand is a PITA but worth the results.

The Zaino Brothers suggust not using a Buffer!!! You don't even apply it with Swirls like wax . . . it's just not designed for that.
