Are you talking about the "California Water Blade"? You can purchase it at Auto Zone or O'Reillys. I bought one, but didn't like it. I prefer to use The Absorber and Cotton Towels.

Forget the blade.....it's a rip-off and only ricers use it http://64.81.114.233/ubb/biggrin.gif. Go with The Absorber and some good 100% cotton towels, that's all you need.

Right now I have a chamois, but it is a pain in the ass to keep wringing out. What makes the Absorber better than a chamois?

OK, WCJ, I can see you're not going to take my word for it on The Absorber http://64.81.114.233/ubb/wink.gif. Here you go:

Chamoise is a natural material, made, of course from leather. Leather is, of course, animal hides which are subjected to a tanning process involving significant use of chemicals. This has two effects, first, it means that any chamoise is going to have residual trace chemical elements in it from the tanning (sniff a new one and you'll see what I mean). Second, it means that you have to be very careful about how you treat the chamoise....can't get it dirty (throw it away if it touches the pavement you'll never get the dirt particles out)), have to carefully dry it out (still gets stiff as a board).

The Absorber, on the other hand, is made from synthetic materials. It absorbs significantly more water, has no chemicals, can be put away wet, will not stiffen up and can be machined wased if it gets dirty.

No comparison.

I went out and bought myself and Absorber. I have to say, I am very impressed. I could dry my car alot fast than with my chamois.

Did you say you could just throw it in the washing machine to clean it?
