Shift Points?

Ok I have an 89 5.0 coupe. Yes its an aod, i know i know. But I was wondering when do you auto guys shift from 1st-d-od? I wanna know just in case I really wanna whoop some ricers! Thanks!!

I leave my AOD in D when I race. I have found out that it shifts better when I leave and not manually shifting. Mine shifts at 5,000 rpm.

Your AOD isnt goin out yet? Mines goin out and hopefully puttin a 5spd in! :D

Do u have a shift kit in it yet? Any mods done to the motor and what abut gears?

nothin at all done yet, in less than a month though im gonna put on my exhaust, bbk h-pipe, and 2ch. flows.
