Protein is only part of it. You need a good
eating strategy along with a good workout
strategy and rest strategy to gain. Then
there is always gear but I don't recommend
it.
There are many programs available out there
(body for life comes to mind). You might
go hang out at www.elitefitness.com (http://www.elitefitness.com) for
awhile to pick up some ideas, or talk to
your buddies at the gym. Don't look at the
nudie pics 'cuz you'll go blind http://64.81.114.233/ubb/wink.gif
Al P is our resident weight lifter - PM him
for some ideas.
Report back what you find - i'm looking for
some ideas in this area as well.

the best protien ever comes from MEAT... beef, chicken, fish...
Sometimes manufactured protiens aren't right. I think the best ever is grilled chicken, it's lean, and low in calories, as compared to other types of protein...

I agree with Silverback. Chicken is a great source of protein.
However, red meat cooked medium rare also has advantages. I think that some of the roids that the cows/bulls are injected with pass along in the meat. ITs secondary, but hell, I grew up eating a lot of red meat cooked medium rare.
1) Eat 5 to 6 times a day
2) Workout 3 to 4 times per week, resting between days
3) get enough sleep. Studies have shown less than 8 hours of sleep can cause muscle loss due to catabolic reactions. Stress also creates the same conditions.

Ha, Ha, thats funny, but true. Dude, you will have everyone and there dog telling you differnt things on how to grow, get lean and get strong. The best thing you can do is read about it and experience for yourself. This kind of thing takes years to perfect. Just to let you know, I am 6ft and weight 220lbs, Tryingto get to 235lbs then cut to compete in my first meet. Just as one guy said, you have to lift to get strong, but then again you are just spinning your wheels if you don't have the right diet and supplements... That is my thought, thank you and goodnight.

To a point big and strong kind of go hand in hand. most of the same ideas apply to both just in diffrent amounts. Just my $.02
Guys I have been lifting since I was in high school playing football and I still am now and I am playing baseball. So I know about working out. I was just trying to get some ideas on what protein yall liked best.
