Well, it turns out its not my MTU settings ( I wasnt very surprised ) and it turns out its the operating system. I know, I know, we've all heard it before, windows this, windows that. I've got all the latest drivers for all my hardware ( minus the raid controller that I have turned off ), its a 600p3 w/ 128mb of ram, a 20gb 5400rpm drive, and a Geforce4 MX card, this is WAY more then the system requirements recommend. If I reboot Windows 2k it runs decent for a little while, but if I start loading other applications, even when I close them, the game runs like complete ass. I can hear the hard drive struggle while I am playing because obviously its running rampent with the virtual ram. I check the stats in the game, and sure enough, physical ram is gone, and I am up at 300mb usage on the virtual ram. What the heck gives? I know pc133 ram is cheap, but I dont feel like buying any, is there anything I can do to get this crap fixed? Win2k freaking sucks with direct x, I cant even get my joystick to work in nesticle because win2k, joysticks and directx dont mix suppsedly. JESUS CHRIST I HATE THIS CRAP.
Now dont get me wrong, when it has a ton of stuff cached it runs good, but when a new sound or a new charector comes on the screen, it locks for a few seconds, and most of the time, I die when the lag comes back, and on battle.net I can easily lose a couple of hours worth of experience points.

I have a gig in the linux box, I only use the windows box for outlook express ( it checks hotmail ) and Diablo 2 ;)
I cant justify adding more ram then what I had spare, and what sucks is I am giving this computer to my sister for xmas, no more diablo for a while!

I find it humorous that you attempted to do anything with Win2K and only 128 megs of RAM...:D

I sent them an email to see if I could help them port his great game over to linux, unfortunatly, all their games are heavy DirectX which is a stupid idea IMHO, specailly when OpenGL ports nicely to damn near any system, even console gaming platforms.

Support,
I am looking for an email address I can send customer feedback to regarding some of the great games that blizzard makes. I have nothing negative against any of the games, just some feedback, thoughts and ideas that I would like to contribute to perhaps make them better. I've played Blizzard games back when WarCraft was just a demo ( don't know if that was there first game or not ), and I feel like I could provide some informative feedback regarding both their Strategy and Diablo based games.
Thanks,
Cruz Cranford
