Good RTS game?

Looking for something new to play and I'm kinda bored with my current games. I've been playing Total Annihilation and Age of Empires I and II for a few years and want something similar to both. I bought Total War a while back (I actually bought a game :eek: ) and it sucked. Any ideas?

stronghold is actually a pretty fun game. similar to age of empires. not a lot of people have heard of it but i like it.

warcraft III is an awesome game that will last quite a while.

I'm looking at the new Command & Conquer now, thanks. But I'll look into those other's as well.
