I just ordered a computer from HP. I stuck with the standard Windows XP Home addition to save $100. I really wanted the XP Professional Home addition which has Word, Excel and other stuff that the regular Home doesn't have. Can anyone help me out with a copy of a different Windows OS? :D

What you need is to get the Office package, not upgrade your operating system. If you are going to the Cruise on Sunday, I can bring you a copy of the Office Package ( Excel, Front Page, Word, Access, Powerpoint etc. . . )

I have a copy of this also if needed.

Exactly, switching to XP Pro won't get you Office automatically.

Cruz, is that Office XP or Office 2000 you have?

Cool. Yea, I want a copy of this, but I won't be at the cruise. It's my best friend's baby shower that day and she will kill me if I miss it. :(

Wouldn't mind just for adding to my library :D I have a corporate copy of Office 2000 from work that works fine. Just wonder if it's worth the upgrade.

Damn, I just knew when I opened this thread there would be a response from AbecX:

"Change to Linux and get Star Office."

Why would I say switch to linux to run Star Office? You can run that application in a windows enviroment :D

Plus chris told me to be nonbiast, so I'm trying to at least type somewhat sane in this forum :)
