You deserve it! Lets get this done quickly and painlessly: I missed 3rd and 4th in the first run, I missed 4th in the second and last run. I can't shift. Everyone say it and let me get it over with :( Had I not missed, we likely would have been even. Any pull the Cobra would have had over you in 4th (If I ever got it in there right) is pure speculation which doesn't mean squat.

Anyone else notice how Sonic's #2 burger tastes like crow? Nope, just me, thats what I thought.

L pulley/chip/exhaust/cai/pro50shifter

New firewall adjustable clutch cable and quadrant are sitting on the bench.. A little more to come but I do not have the hope and aspirations of XStang and Nick that's for sure http://www.dfwstangs.net/ubb/eek.gif

I'll put the clutch stuff in tonight or thursday and we can run'em if you want Lane.. I'd like to see how that new convertor yanks the front end anyway http://www.dfwstangs.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

It was too funny: there I was on the way over there on the tollway slowing and making sure I could nail the 2-3 shift. Kicked the pedal when it was off and pulled up on it for good measure to make sure the clutch was near the top.. after the run the clutch is grabbing at about .5" off the floor?! It's not the shifter, its the driver and the fact it comes out of adjustment when you kick the crap out of it in the heat of battle? Lets just leave it at poor driver and I'll dig myself out of that hole. That or I'll put a C4 in there http://www.dfwstangs.net/ubb/mad.gif

Well MonsoonX had to get his fuel/timing adjusted. You can get your quadrant(sp?) in and ask for a rematch right:rolleyes:

Jerry, correct me if I'm wrong but, he said that it's not that he "missed" a shift but, that he was grinding gears. (It was hard to get into gear) And between every shift I was gaining ground. If anything I think maybe we would've been about even.

MAYBE! ;) :D :p

But, from the initial get go, I would always jump out by a nose, and from there, so the story goes.

Personally I think it was dead nuts even, with you maybe getting the jump (better reactions) with me falling back when I was grinding but as soon as it went in gear we were locked again. Of course we both thought there was gonna be a 4th gear pull for each of us but we never had a chance to see. I had already messed it up by then (4th gear) so you braked which was probably the right thing to do.. my .02.. Buy buying lunch not only do I rightfully pay for losing but I also reserve the right to ask for a rematch :)

I'll get the quadrant on and we'll try again.. Air inlet for the new TB comes tomorrow, do we care enough to do a rematch exactly as it stands w/ just the quadrant or can I continue w/ mods to "hedge"? http://www.dfwstangs.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
