all 03 cobra's come from the factory with six speeds, but it is possible to convert it to an auto. Paul's High Performance has gone 10's in their 03 cobra and it's got an auto. like marc said, Jimmy V is very well respected and i highly doubt it's BS.

i didnt consider the possibilty of switching to an auto tranny. good idea i guess. id rather have the 6spd but running those times is prolly much easier with and auto.

Well, I tried to argue with certain people that a 10 was possible w/o spending alot of money, but people just listen. Those are great times for a little bolt on 281!:D

That thing has a built AOD in it! If that isn't "spending a lot of money" then i don't know what is!

And that is Pete Misinsky running that car too, if you guys don't think its got every piece of black magic in the toolbox thrown at it then you are high! That blower is probably about to explode knowing that guy! LOL

You could always swap the t56 for a built aod and it wouldnt cost you much.

Paul's car has a 5-speed TKO in it. He has been knocking on the door to the 9's. Nothing like unlimited resources and the help of the car maker to allow you to go fast. I'm more impressed with the guys on this board going fast on a real budget.
