Fun time with a Z06

Coming back from visiting Noah (Slim's Must. Perf) on 635 and new yellow Z06 pulls beside me. He points and wants to go with his paper tags still on the car. I haven't been in a race in a very long time so I said what the hell. Shifted into third and off we went. Just got by him and slowed it down because of traffic. He gave me a wave and took an exit. First Vette kill ever, made my day. :D Thought I'd take a whippin. Vette was damn fast. :eek:

Noah is installing 4.10's this Sunday. Tired of the 3.27's.

Oh so ur the guy infront of me...HAHA, well he will be working on mine monday, he has a full day job on mine!! :( Once u get the 4.10's go race the z06 again, u wont win again, i can almost guarantee, when i race on the highway those damn ls1's and even stock FOX's are still pulling and im just shifting away and once i get to 5th its like what now and some of them are still in 3rd!!

Well, Why would u want to race In Over Drive (5th gear) .. Stick it to 6200 RPM in 4th.

He'll do even better against the Z06 with the 4.10's as long as he can get it to the ground, which he will be doing on the highway.

I have a friend with pretty much the same set up as me and he has 4.10's on a 98 Cobra. His car pulls hard from a 60mph punch, and keeps pulling through 5th

But keep racing that Z06 past 100 then see how much u still pull!! Ull be in 5th and ull have run out of gears and no where else to go!! Just my opinion!!

Remember the typical z06 owner spent $50k to go high 12's@115. Trully amazing to spend that kinda money and go that slow and sit here and brag about how STOCK a car is.

You know the typical ls1 argument "It's a stock z06" they just forget too mention the 51k sticker.

This shit cracks me up.

I am sure beenfetchlately has well over 25k(including the price of the car) to go mid 11's:rolleyes:

:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: , sorry to dissapoint you, but most people to buy Z06's Don't buy them because they run 12's in the 1/4, most buy them because for 50K they outperform most 100k plus cars in almost every catagory.....seems you have been showing your narrow mind alot lately.....

I am not showing my narrow mind, just not too impressed with 50k car owners bragging about how STOCK there cars are running 12's stock. I mean should'nt it?? geez.

It's kinda like me bragging about a 29k Cobra that runs mid 13's big deal.

Btw I love the z06 just hate some of the attitudes. It is great car, I would own one in a heartbeat(if I wasn't so upside down in my Cobra).

the 4.10's will definately help out his car. sorry but a blown cobra revvin to 6800 rpms wont be shiftin to 5th at 100 mph. and like he said, with 4.10's and that much rwhp you can actually pull good in 5th.

The Z06 driver wanted some and I gave it to him. I posted a kill and didn't bash or brag about it. I was very impressed with the Z06 performance and actually thought I was going to get beat. Typical response from a typical LS1 owner. :(

I absolutely love the fact that everyone thinks a Z06 is a drag car. A Z06 is JUST as much drag car, as a '92 notch with a 331 and a blower is a road course car...

And hell, screw even paying $45K for one, how's $43K and change, with 0.00% interest sound? :p
