Morning? Afternoon? Evening? Late at night? Just curious to what time everyone goes to the gym. Also, what is your reasoning for going at that time? Is it your preference, work schedule, or do you see some benefit from going at that particular time?

Way too early...6 am. It's nice to get it over with and jump start your metabolism for the day.

I'd prefer to workout around noonish, but my work schedule dictates that I get to the gym around 7:30p.m.

I go right after school: about 5pm Tues and Thurs; and around 1pm Mon, Wed, and Friday. I go occasionally on Saturdays depending on my mood.

I go at this time b/c I can't before then unless I woke up around 4am(screw that) and I also like to see the people that actually work out in there which is always about that time (must have the same schedule:confused: )

I workout around 6am. Its a bad habit from when I was in high school. I ran XC and our meets were in the morning so we would work out in the morning. If you work out at a certain time everyday, then if you suddenly change the time your body does not always respond the way you want it to in a competitive situation.

I know what ya mean man, it is awesome when you go in there late and there isn't hardly any people to get in your way. This week I started going at about 5:00 in the morning and it is pretty empty from about 5:00 - 6:00. I am usually through with the weights by then so I move over to the cardio.

after work, which varies depending on if I have to work late- but we usually make it by like 6 or 6:30 and don't usually get done until at least 8pm (that's only weights). Makes eating dinner late, but oh well, there isn't much choice.

Alan runs a few miles in the morning on the treadmill at our apartment gym at like 6am, and I am going to start doing that also (first day today- yuck!). That way we get cardio in the morning and just do weights at night.

Thinking about taking some classes (aerobics, abs, pilates or something) during lunch since they offer them at the gym here at TI.

I hate working out in the morning, but I see better results that way. I work out in the evenings right now starting around 6-6:30pm. Ive been doing that out of convenience and so that I can ice down my heels afterwards. Seems to help.

I think Im going to adjust my sleep schedule to get in a few miles of cardio in the morning. Wish me luck. ;)Its so hard to be disciplined. :(

Yeah, I know what you mean about better results in the morning. I have been doing cardio and weights in the mornings this week but I think I am going to cut back a little and do the weights in the evening. Getting to the gym by 5:00 makes for a very long day.:(

I know what you mean!

I change it up. Sometimes I will walk or go to the gym at around 5:30-6:00 am and sometimes I go after work - 6:00 pm. Depends on if I can get my lazy ass up in the am or not. Usually I don't. I hate working out in the morning.

BUT... I read a few days ago that working out in the evening is suppose to be better. Reason is because you consume most of your calories at night (large dinners) and that is when your metabolism is slowing down from the day. When you workout, it gets your metabolism going and supposedly it's good to do it at night now so that you can burn more while you sleep.

My brother, Jordan and I usually hit the 'gym' at 9. We work out for about 45 mins each day and then I stay and walk/jog for 30mins to 1hour.

I used to go around 11pm at my apartments but now they have it closed at 10:30 so I'll probably be going early in the morning around 6am hopefully I won't have to wait around for a machine or at the weight stations. :(

On the weekdays I do cardio in the mornings around 6:30, and then hit weights afer work around...gee...6:30, although having to wait for a gym partner usually plays havoc with my schedule. On the weekends I like to get in their early like around 10 or so, just depends on if there are any good cartoons on or not.....

I do mine in the evening, usually starting at 6:30 or 7:00. If I get more motivated, I may start bringing some clothes into work, and start doing abs for lunch.

Y'all better be careful....the 6-pack is on it's way back. ;)
