What Sin are you OFTEN guilty of?

Well, not necessarily sins...but also guilty pleasures or habits that you just can't seem to break?

My largest used to be smoking, praise God I finally kicked that awful habit that had been passed down thru the generations. I'm hoping I nixed it before my daughter was corrupted too by my ignorance.

My only other vice is cursing. Ooooooheeeeee am I B-A-D at that. :D The "F" word is by far my specialty. :p I do seem to be getting better though. I'm hoping that one day it may feel as dirty as saying G.D. in vain! :eek: Me being sick and twisted will NEVER change. :) But I'd love to learn to be witty W/O the cursing. :cool:

Actually, I have several that i'm not real proud of :(

I have been feeling a movement of the holy spirit the
last few weeks to clean up some areas of my life. I
had to chuckle when I was invited into this forum
today - just more evidence from above :)

I'm about to hit 40 in december and i've been taking
stock of what I am and what I am called to be the
last few months - there is a gap :(

Cusing is my most often. Lust for fleshly things. Smoking. The list goes on.:( But Glory to God I'm blessed anyway. The more I seek God the less I am going to do those things!!! I want to live in the spirit not in the flesh. That is where true happiness is. I know,I've been there before, and plan on getting back there now.

I dont have a problem with cussing. You would think that I would since I spent 4 yrs in the Marines but I guess having kids made me think of other ways to say things. I would have to say that my biggest "sin" would be lust. Not just for women but also material things. I know it is a problem and something that I have been struggling with for as long as I can remember. What is the hardest is when you are 38, look 28, and have girls 18 hitting on you. ;)

True story: My oldest daughter who is 15 has a friend at church who is 16. She wondered if I was her older brother, thought I was "hot" and wanted to go out with me. :eek:

I used to be real bad about a lot of things, like cussing. I still slip every now and then, but it's rare now. Alcohol was a weakness, and had been again recently. Lust is probably the biggest problem I have. If I'm put in a bad situation, there's a very good chance that I won't succeed, and I feel terrible afterward. :(

Ive about cut out cussing a while back. Right after HS and in College I got really bad. Now I do better at refraining myself from it. Lust still trys to get me all the time. If I can cut lust out all most completly, that would be the kicker.

Idolatry - putting other things before God (liek family and business)

lack of discipline - not spending the time I should in prayer and study of God's word

pride - ever so often it rises up within me having been blessed so much I tend to think I did it, when God always does it

smoking gone, cussing gone, bad music gone, etc.

Many of the outward sins (those seen by others) have been overcome, but the inward ones I am still working on.

In the seven years I have been saved God has set me free from many many sins. I just had named a few above, but when I was a teen there was much much more there. It is a miracle what God can do with an idiot like me!

:o hahahahaha!!! I LOVE THAT! Thanks man!!! Luckily most everyone I know doesn't smoke...But I'm sure it will come in handy eventually. ;)

BTW, my sister quit smoking too after she found out I quit. She has been off for almost 3 weeks now. I am so proud of her. We are officially the ONLY ones in my family who don't. :cool: Sweet!
