View Full Version : Minor bug in this forum

I noticed that the forum jump dropdown box at the
top does not stay on "The Religion Corner". In the
other forums the dropdown follows the forum you
are in.

I usually hit the "Go" button to refresh the message
list after i've been away from the board for awhile. On
this forum this, of course, causes an error.

No biggie.

Edit: When you are in a forum message itself the dropdown
is correct.

I've noticed the same. Wouldn't be so bad if you could just refresh the forum, but you either have to back out or go into a thread.

That dropdown is also missing "The Religion Corner"
as an entry which is probably the base problem.

Yeah, I have to be in a thread in order to find the Religion forum in the drop box.

I see The Religion Corner as long as I am in this thread (good for me since this is the only place I am), but you are right when I go to another forum it is gone!

hmm, I dont have problems refreshing. But of coarse Im running win98

It's even more goofy than I first thought.

Just went into some of the other forums and
"The Religion Corner" disappeared altogether
from the dropdown at the top.

Finally had to go to the main "forums" page to
get back in here (thought i'd been banned already
for a minute :) )

Its probably a bug in the MB concerning private forums. They are probably just filtering out all private forums on the drop down and not checking to see it you have access or not.

Well, actually it might be my fault. The board admin section does not support assigning specifc permissions to users, you can only assign users to groups. Since that would be too restricting for the we we have this forum setup, I wrote a program so JC can get around this limitation and assign form permissions to people directly.

The problem described probably wont get fixed unless they add the feature I added to V3.0 of the board, which is due out soon.
