Stangtamer and I PM'd about this, and thought it'd be good to discuss.

Like I'd said in my "hello" thread, I'd fallen off mainly because of where I was and who I was with. The strength I once thought I had quickly disappeared and I found myself doing the things that I'd worked so hard to get away from again. It was because of this that I'd all but left the board to get back on track.

Does anyone have problems with environment? What do you do about it?

We all have something that we know we can't resist. Sometimes when we see ourselves being tempted we have to do like Joseph when his master's wife wanted to bump and grind. Run! baby run!

Yes, "birds of the feather flock together" as the the old saying goes. I like to think of one of the lyrics in one of the songs Pillar sings. Saying "I'm further from myself when I'm next to You" being I think when God is in our environment and in our heart we'll be that much closer to Him and further from our old sinfull selves.

For me it's realizing that there are certain environments
that I should not be in and staying away from them.

I was tempted like I've never been before about 4 months ago. I go to school at night and I befriended one of my class mates well she soon let it be known that she liked me (and deep inside I thought she was sexy as heck) It took alot, I mean alot, alot, (did I say alot?) of prayer but, I was delivered from the temptation. (whew)

So now I know that I can't be friends with attractive single women because I'm irresistable and soon they'll just wind up wanting to jump my bones! LOL

Having good friends helps a lot. I think we have to keep each other accountable and help each other along the way.

I was tempted by a woman (they sure are evil, aren't they?) too JC, at about the same time. Only she was married and going through a bad marriage. To tell the truth, I'm surprised nothing happened, but eventually glad.

LOL. I still haven't met her, so I can't be certain of that. :D

Me and women usually equals trouble. I know not all are bad, but I usually get the bad ones. :)

Christians must always be careful because satan is out to get us and he happens to be pretty smart, sometimes knowing us better than we know ourselves...

1 Peter 5:8
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour"

watch out when it comes to:
-women
-music
-friends
-entertainment
-alcohol
-bad habits
-and so on!

true, and sometimes his tempting may not necessarily be a want, but a need. For Example: Jesus was tempted in the dessert by satan over needs for the body.

You are right! That same scripture there in Matthew 4 also shows us that satan comes for us at our weakest times!

It is good to desire spiritual things, because it will overcome the fleshly wants.
