Well, made it out to denton last night and damn near froze my nuts off......It got real cold last night and cars were flying. I know Darkpony busted off and 8.600 his first run and I was getting worried.

But, my first run was my best run.....How's an 8.464?!!! I also broke into the 80mph traps with an 81.529mph pass. I am really impressed with what I can do with what little mods I have on the car. I think I will be looking for a new tune to get rid of the rich a/f and see if I can start knocking on the door of 8.2's. I know there were a few other folks out there doing well too because of the cold air and some were using slicks for the first time and won't go back to street tires..... There were also a shit load of silver 99+'s so I felt at home. It was fun beating on the silver cars. Closest one was 1.4 seconds behind and most were very close to that.

I backed up the 8.46 with an 8.47 and 3 8.51's.

60's were 1.79, 1.81, 1.87, 1.84 and 1.83.

I was experimenting with shift points and found that the car with traction would bog if I shifted at 5500 or less. I am still trying to go to that site for calculating shift points to see what the optimum would be.

Well, overall an improvement, the rearend is holding and the throwout bearing is hollering some times so I may hold on any more track time here for a while until I make sure nothing is broken or failing. I will probably look for a retune on the a/f and timing here soon and Sneaky mentioned something about a Tweeker that might work for my car and it seems interesting.

I think everyone had a good time and I think I want some bullet now.........Where was Llamaboy at?

Here is the sig update. I wonder if I could get this thing in the 12's with just bolt ons and a better tune? I think I may take Sneaky's advice and build the drive train for reliability when (if) I ever start making some serious power.

Thanks.

congrats on the sweet times. very nice sixty foots, especially for a stock suspension. i'd say that an 8.46 is gettin awfully close to the 12's.

Matt - listen to Billy; this is good advise.

It _was_ colder than crap - I knew I was in trouble
when it said 65 degrees in the truck as we pulled
up and I had no jacket.

The cars loved it though.
