The track prep sucked! It was nothing like KOTH last weekend. :(
I started the night off set on kill. 13psi, a couple of degrees more timing and the DRs with about 25psi (I had two passengers to carry home). Everyone was telling me that it was slippery and the first run I babied it out of the hole and got a 2.75 sixty
8.50 at 92.7 :( I pedeled 2nd a couple of times and 3rd once.
I ran four times and each time I dropped the boost to get traction until I was only on the waste gate spring at 5.7psi. I ran 93LXHorse on the last run of the night (ricer take over for midnight madness) and he killed me out of the hole and I barely squeaked by him at the end. 8.36 @90.3 to 8.40 @ 82.3
Andrew was f'n flying! I've never seen a Mustang spin M/T 26x10 ET Drags ALL the way through the 1/8th mile. His car is going to run high 5s when he gets it sorted out.
manny ran some 6.20s. The only people that were hooking were the guys with slicks.
I'm going to stay away from the tracks until I can redo the rear end and get a better tranny. I might take it to Ennis once the weather cools off just to see what it will do.
I feel your pain... Ennis was probably worse. Why I went there instead of Kennedale(KOTH) I don't know.
Nothing like a bunch of 12.1's and 12.2's with 1.7 and 1.8 60's on SLICKS!! What a waist. And the one run that felt pretty good, they messed up our times! Ran a turbo('Turbo Don') Regal who had been running mid to high 11's all night. He barely got me at the end of the track. My time was 17.1 to his 17.0 @ 80something.. We both ran again - 11.85 to 12.11.

Lane, what kind of MPH were you running in the 1/8th? I think everyone was off a couple of mph at Denton. I'm waiting for cooler weather....
88.3 - 88.6 and 111.9's. I was happy with the mph, but it was probably just due to me spinning so much...

I liked your car it sounds awesome, I love the sound of a turbo mustang. You should get some slicks or et streets for that thing, then you can run the boost up again. Looked like you were doing a good job driving it considering the situation.

It needs one. Kind of falls at the end of the track.. Next mods will be cam and 3" duals(from 2.5") - maybe long tubes.

I sure hope you talked to an official about the track. Sometimes it's not the prep that's the problem. As has been stated before, you guys are important to our business too. Ya'll come every week! They scrape the starting line on Thursdays and then spray it repeatedly. Then they spray on Fridays and throughout the night as needed. I know, as well as you all do, that the humidity and heat have a great effect on the track surface and your cars.
But never leave w/o talking to Nick about the track conditions. We want you to leave happy!

:) Oh, it wasn't bad enough that I won't ever be back. I just need to do some things to my car to get it to hook. It's got 100% stock rear suspension and 100% stock rear end with 3.08s. The engine is asking a lot of it right now.
manny, thanks man! Your car is damn fast!Originally posted by Lane
It needs oneNever can tell with you LS1 boys. There's more misinformation than information coming from you guys! ;)
