I was on NMRA.com and saw that they are now starting a class specifically for the 03 Cobra, first race is Bowling Green, Sept 27-29. They mentioned a few people that already have cars wanting to race. I'm thinking there might be a 10 in that crowd. Keep your eyes open. If one runs a 10 this soon after being released, that would be pretty cool.
Man, I'm gonna need head's, cam - and a blower... :(

if you don't believe the hype come take a ride in my 03 456 rwhp 478 torque a few mods.wait till a stait axle with 410's and slick go on the car.it will go elevens then maybe 100 shot??? forged pistons arp rods 8.5 to one compression not bad for a 281 cubic inch motor...the only bad thing to say about the car is the 3700 pounds it weighs.

i had a 1998 z28 with a 150 shot and a bunch of bolt ons it ran 11.76 at enis it was cool when i first got it because nobody knew about ls1's now every body and their momma has one so it got a little boring.so know my goal is to build the baddest 03 in dallas to kick ls1's in their ass. it really was not hard to take a 5.7 liter with great heads and beat up on five liters.now lets see how chevy likes getting their ass kicked by a 281 cubic inch blown car.it is still the smallest v 8 made.and for people to talk about 10's is the shit.no stroker or big displacement just a bad ass heavy blown 281.

my point is it not a 346 ls1 or 383 stroker or 422 stroker it's a 281.hell i have 1,200 dollars in up grades it made 478.9 rwtourqe at 3300rpm.and 456rwhp at 5600 rpm .

you must admit a 281 is a damn small V8 compared to most, one of the first things that made me think 5.0's were so badass back in the day was because it is a small 302 and they were smoking irocs and other chevys who all had 350's at least, so why do ls1's get so high and mighty abt smoking 4.6's? yall have a shitload more cubes ya know

I think if they can do that with a 281 cube engine they should bring back the 302 soon and see how much better they can make that push:D . Their are rumors (I know, I know....just a rumor) that when they change the mustang platform in 2005 they will have a 4.6 and a 5.0 option. SWEET:eek:

Depends on which heads you get. 500 is easy. Just don't build a low compression motor if you aren't going to run a blower...11 to 1 with a solid roller on pump gas can make crazy power....just wait and see, there is one coming out soon enough!

JC, just so happens I'm dropping a stock 351W with some nice TW heads and a solid roller into my "play" car. I'll let you know what it runs. Should be up and going in around 4 weeks. I'm not expecting anything great, the cam is more for NAWS. If i throw my PG in it with a 200shot of NAWS, I'm guessing it could muster a 10.00000.

i never said nobody could touch my 03...i know alot of people that would kick my ass.i did see a black o3 put down 535rwhp and 644 tourque at dalls mustang yesterday...mine only made 436 hp and 478 tourque...not bad for a three month old car.when you quote what someone says get it right.at redline i said i had the fastest car out their that night on street tires 7.89 at90.74 mph.their was alot of other really fast cars their but not on street tires...when do you want to race or where?

So for arguments sake my 421RWHP car Vs your 456RWHP cobra.
Put your car on a diet and maybe it will be a little closer.
Weight is a big factor plus gearing.
I got you know. 456RWHP on Fastech dyno and 436RWHP on Dallas Mustang. Same torque though.

Dude you might want to take a chill pill. I got respect for your car and I give you credit, but you are far from stock. You have nearly 100RWTQ over my car. I have about 500lbs less than you. It was a good race. You will find its potential or blow it up one or the other.

I talked to the guy with the BLue Cobra last night he said that he only did like 437 to the wheels and he has long tude headers as well. He said that he had a crank pulley in his car that he bought and I didnt know that they were out yet. But I ordered mine from Metco and he told me it would be about 2 weeks. but it should only be about a week and a half for you. He said they were still working on getting them done. it was about $360.:eek: ! But I had to pay it I mean 40 more hp.

someone is lieing about their power their is not a 490 hp cobra in dallas.if so i want to see the dyno sheet.the blk cobra did 535hp 644torque on spray i believe a blue one that had long tubes

I have no reason to lie. This car was up at Fastech last week and made 490rwhp with open exhaust, no mufflers, and a UPR chip.

Anyways if it is you can count me in and I got news for everybody my car only did 405hp because the belt was slipping and it also only did 536hp on the spray because the belt was slipping, the bottle pressure was low and the fuel was way, way way, rich like off the charts rich. I promise yall my car is good for about 415 to 425hp on motor and 560 to 580 on nitrous and I still have the stock headers and catback which should add about 20 hp to the wheels atleast and I have another pulley on its way to take my boost up to 17 psi:eek: ! Can you say over 500hp on motor ;) I think you can!!! but that will be another couple of weeks from now ! Let me know about saturday!! Does anyone have any info on the time I need to be up there!

This is Rich. It starts at 9:00 and ends usually when the last car leaves, I noticed this time he put till 5:00 so he might have plans or something he has to do afterwards. Be there Ill be happy to strap that bad Biotch down for ya.

Oh sorry about that but it is on motor its my motor and my motor just happens to come with a little blower on it but it is my motor and if your car came from the factory with a blower on it and you said on motor I 'de let you slide so common man can I please say on motor with your blessings?:D

THat might work or lets try this one I did 405 on my factory equiped motor off the NAWWSS but guess what tonight I got my belt fixed and G-Teched it and it did 9 more mph in a 1/4 mile run on my G-Tech than it did the night before with my sliping belt.and almost 1 sec better as well. I was trying to tell you guys that my belt was slipping pretty bad so I guess we'll see on saturday.
I can tell you this it feels like a different car now and keeps pulling right past 160 like its nothing.
