I wouldn't mine getting my RS4 out. it doesn't run that great due to lack of maintenance and an exhaust leak but still gets up and hauls. where would we go to run them?

I have a tamiya truck that i wouldnt mind dusting off. i need to buy a new radio for it but that shouldnt be a problem. it looks like a little 4x4 Chevy S10. I have modded it with a hotter motor (12T) and Novak ESC as well as a bearing kit. Not the fastest in the world but lots of fun.

i have an electric associated t3 team truck, and a hpi nitro mt. i know indy r/c has an indoor gas offroad, and an outdoor track, but its not the greatest place in the world

I have the associated t3 team truck also, need to get that out sometime. I spent so much money on that damn 'toy'..

yeah after i replied to this, i pulled my nitro mt back out of the box where it has been sitting for the better part of 6+ months, took it out back, and the pos .15FE engine on it fired right up (suprisingly enough)...now i know that just because i did that im gonna end up wasting my money on it instead of my car.
anyone interesting in an electric Team Associated T3 Team truck with the equipment required to make it "ready to run"? thinking about selling it and just running the nitro

welp, i have a half gallon of 30% nitro trinity monster horsepower platnum fuel in the closet, i guess i better go slap some new batteries in the futaba and get out the little toys to terroize my apartment complex for a little bit.
a nova rossi .21 turbo motor sounds pretty good at 25,000rpm on 30% :-)
i need to rebuild the tranny on my losi xxxnt, i dunno why but the os czr .12 in there tears that damn thing up! i finnally figured out how to get the diff from blowing (break in on a drill before reinstallation), but now the idler gear wants to strip. i think due to transmision case flex affecting the gear mesh. i wish somebody would make an aluminum diff case...
it seams like about 6 months after i get a new r/c car everyting starts turning into aluminum.... i'm just to good at breaking the plastic stock stuff!!!
man, indy r/c SUCKS. nothing but a bunch of redneck morons running around with there pre-built tmax's.
i've taken my 1/8 scale out there three times, and it ends up getting busted due to collision with some fool every time.
(insert voice of boomhower here)
"aww sorry about dat mayun...."
"oh don't worry about, its only a $500 car with a $300 motor that i have to order replacement parts for, i really don't mind when morons crash into me and break it"

I pretty much can't stand any of the tracks around the metroplex because there is always some dumbass kid who doesn't grab a frequency clip and decides to fire up his car. and next thing you know, my engine is screaming and the car is out of control and there goes the spur gear.

It would have to be on road because then everyone could play. I have a 4-tec with a RB concepts X12-t, its only a .12 you guys arent afraid are you?

Dammit, I wrecked my car yesterday. I knocked the driver side front axle off. (*Plastic*) i'll go and pick up another today.
I installed the front sway bar yesterday, and I'm gonna install the rear. As soon as i figure out how to keep it from dying on me, I'll race.

sounds like you need to tune it. when is it stalling, right away? or after running a few minutes? depending on either one will determine if it is running to rich or too lean.
I'll bring mine tonight, the body is a little dinged up so it's not that great looking. I need someone to paint me a nice saleen body so I can trash this Skyline body i'm using. I did a horrible job on the cutting and the paint work.
I might be in for this. :)

LOL @ Hollywood!
yeah, I think it needs to be tuned. Oh, the car was used, not new, I forgot to mention. Anyway, It hauls ass when it hits 2nd. I'm gonna sand, paint the BBS rims Black today, and when the hobby shop opens, buy a replacement axle. the Kumho's are going bald.
Try norm's Hobbies for the bodies. He has Mustangs, Camaro SS', Supra's, Skylines, C5's, Ws'6's, Subys, Civics, Integras, and a whole lot more. He has a whole wall full of shells.

I got a T3 with a 15 turn and a TC3 with 9 turn. I got several bodies for the TC3. I got a Ferrari F360, 2 Saleens(one has color changing paint), and a BMW M3. Every Sunday morning, my friend and I go to Mike's Hobby Shop at 10AM to drive on the dirt track. It's pretty fun because there isn't very many people there to get in the way. Maybe only 3 or 4 other people. If anyone wants to go I know we will be there this Sunday.

I am old school...I haven't driven any of my cars in about...6 years?
I have a Tamiya Formula 1 car, GTP car, and Touring car, Associated RC10LS
Losi JR-X2 (their first car ever) Losi lx-t and XX-t
I also have a 95 Cobra R body kit new in box from Tamiya. I wanted to get a new touring car to go with it. Is electric still big or does everyone use nitro now? Seems like all you guys are nitro. Is touring car racing still big or is it something else now?
I guess I could slap one of these things together and go dick around, but you guys would blow my antiques away.

On a serious note anyone want to buy a TEAM ASSOCIATED (t2?) off road truck. It is electric, and in great condition. I dont think I used but twice, I installed new electric speed controllers and after that I lost intrest. I can get more info when I go back into bedford and look at it (It has been in a box for a few years). I might check out the road racing ones that are out by HPI.
For all you R/C enthusiasts...I've been looking to get started with one of these gas powered R/C cars for a while now. What's good model to start off with that won't cost me a bundle of cash. Just looking for something that does goes somewhat fast and easy to get started on. Any thoughts, or anyone maybe selling some? Thanks...Swag

wellllllll...first off, the r/c hobby aint cheap by any means. second of all, what kind of driving do you want to use it for? off road? asphalt? theres a whole bunch of different classes of r/c's, give us more info and we can help you pick better
Well, I've been looking on ebay at pricing and whatnot. I know it's not going to be cheap, but I'm looking for an asphalt car. Nothing too terribly fast just a starter basically that wouldn't be too hard to upgrade. Like I said, I've never been in this, so I don't know exactly what to say. I've got some cash to spend, but not anything excessive, maybe $200 or a little more. What do you think would be good to start offf with?

if you want somthing for asphalt and that goes pretty fast stock and is easy to deal with and is in the 200 price range try to pick up a used traxxas nitro 4-tec on ebay, that is exactly what you described. it is nitro powered, 4 wheel drive, 2 speed, tops 50 out of the box, even electric start. so how about it guys when we gonna do this and stop talking about what we got?

08-23-2002, 02:12 AM
I dunno about you but my car is NOT going over any ramp I have got a 200 dolar motor and a 100 dollar headder and pipe and that was on the hookup! there is nothing worse then when you wreck you car and you pick it up to find that it has a broken cooling fin or just scratched up motor. can someone make a new thread and it be sticky so we can see exactly who is comming. also we need to decide on a place.

there really is not going to be a place to satisfy everyone, if it is big and flat the off road guys wont be happy and if it is all dirt the on road guys wont be happy, sooooo..... someone chime in with a cool spot, I know of ONE cool place but it is out here by me in Lancaster and I doubt you all want to drive out here. but if you do it has a long straight flat piece of road and a parking lot with lots of hills, jumps, and other cool stuff if you have a off road car, me and my friends used to go there and it is alot of fun for both crowds, but like I said its here in lancaster. let me know.

I say lets run on-road. my 4-tec already got called out :-) and i busted both of the off-road machines. i could get the xxxnt running again quick and easy though. the storm will require a week at least to order parts. and though i'm sure you guys would love to see it, it wouldn't ber much of a race :D
we seem to have some on road cars present, and the off-road guys could run on road if they want. we could always set up some skateboard jump as well :-) i can do 20ft airs in my xxxnt!!
(until i break it!!)
as a side note: if i got into r/c first time, and had some good avice, i would buy a xxxnt. i've had more reasonably priced fun with that thing!! the replacement parts are CHEEP and easy to find. i've f/*ked it up BAD and only sepnt $20 to get it on the road/dirt again. its fun on and off road, is really lite and really simple to work on. only requires a .12 for smoking speeds.

well i could set up the suspension on my nitro mt for road driving. but i still need a motor. whats a good one, sized .15? im leaning toward the upgrade 15ss just send in my junked motor and 99 for it. anyone know if it makes good power or if i should use a different one? does norm's have a lot of good stuff? i want to go check it out, but its quite a ways away from me, kinda like mike's is. mike's place is awesome though

thats a very good deal if everything is is as good as shape as he says. get it while its there thats a steal.
he says that the glo plug starter is missing. How much do you think that would run? $30?

top og the line is 30 bucks, they are as cheap as 8 bucks or less, id grab that while its still there. that wont last long at that price.
