If I can BORROW some slicks... low 11s @ 145 ish if I don't break anything. I won't be powershifting it and will be shifting very slowly since my tranny isn't the easiest to shift every 2 seconds or less. How is your car running?

LOL you will do fine... it ran 131 with a ton less torque and 70+ less HP... you will run well don't worry about it...

Isnt the point of true street to be consistant, so why not run your coupe and drive the shit out of it, instead of running your 86, and worry about breaking things, and granny shifting.

I will be running hight 13's but my times will all be within a thousanth of each other.

Hey NDSP, I would be interested in towing you to FFW. I plan on going every day, so I would be there. The only thing is, I have to make ABSOLUTELY SURE they are going to total my Explorer, and once they do (which I am ALMOST positive they will), I am planning on buying a '94 Lightning from a friend, and my dad has an awesome trailer with a 10,000lb winch, if something breaks....hopefully not, but ya never know. Let me know if you're interested and we can meet up some time and talk it over. I don't think I have met you yet, as I am still trying to get out and meet as many people on the board as possible. Pm me back and let me know what you think.

Are you racing in the brackets or heads-up? What's so "bunk" about True Street? The 30 mile cruise with 100+ other Mustangs? The guaranteed 3 passes? The rather relaxed enforcement of safety rules(rollbar, d/s loop, etc)? The greater chance of your car being in a magazine? The free entry into a special bracket race the next day with the same True Street cars battling it out for $500+? Total weekend entry fee + racing both days for $50? Face it man, you will "wait in line all day" no matter what class you are in at FFW, it's just something you will have to deal with when you have a race event this popular. There will be 500+ cars racing that weekend, but only two at a time! Everyone has to wait their turn.

No I can push my car to the staging lanes and run it when they call me, don't want to be pushing my car in T/S even if they do allow it, and I am not consistent to run jack shit in that class, as well as the fact as running low 12s won't get shit for magazine coverage... (No Cage) Not getting one either...

BJ... lmao no dude, I have no cage, and am not getting one and I know it wouldn't be even remotely close to qualifying...

I am going to run Street Ford, maybe Quick Ford...Doesn't matter much since I am going to get kicked off on the first full pass anyways...

If you are trying to make fun of me once again... please get a fucken clue about what you are talking about. I said my speeds WILL go up with slicks, because my gears are TOO short to be able to finish in fourth gear... Take your car to the track and shift into 5th at the 1000 foot mark and see what it does... it makes a ton more difference with more power. That is why it will make a big difference. Putting on the same size slicks wouldn't pick up 10 mph, but it would still pick up some because I can be on the throttle more down the track.

That is a tuff call Andrew. I think your 1/8mi time will be between a 6.40 and 6.60 with the 5-speed and igloo. But the 1/4mi is a different story. I am going to guess a high 9 low 10. It is just to hard to call really, because you are going to be in for a ride with that 5speed. It just depends on how well you can drive it, which won't be easy.lol
