Looks like Xstang gave up around 1/2 way throught the race when it was evident he couldn't catch up.. Notice. the vette DID jump us.. the vette had a good car on me before i hit it and locked.. i ended up a few cars ahead of the vette at the very end.

He made 399 but it leaned out 14.1 air/fuel. Still trying to get eveyrthing tuned in, the throttle body was sticking so he had to go back to the stock one. He has a new program in it now. So who knows what the power is.

I hope the bottle goes on soon, he has it but not spraying yet:(

the vette jumped us and the stang and i reacted. I was just using that to illestrate that the vette and the stang locked;) i start 1.5 cars behind the vette and ended up a few ahead of it..

not to worry.. the cobra is comming back with a venegence. I added my fmic, and the cobra went to an even smaller pully then he had that night, and a catback and is expecting to go from 430 rwhp to 470+ rwhp.. i hope i dont get my ass spanked;)

Damn Jimmy has a Single now ... Does he still have the stock wing on there? I know he had the Blitz on there a long time ago but something happened to it and he put the stock one back on ... man it seems like everyone has now gone Single, when I had the 95 TT everyone mainly had Stock Twins and either regular BPU or BPU++ ...

Dino had a Black Wingless Supra modded by Powerhouse and so was Daniel's 93 Red Supra, you might have seen him around a couple of times, it has the HKS Coilovers, FMIC, Single, pretty cool guy. There was also one guy I met that had a Greet 97-98 Supra like yours but with white Rays Volt rims and some other goodies .. I think he sold it and got a Viper, I'm not to sure.

Hey have you seen the new Road & Track, it mentions that Toyota is working on bringing the Supra back in 2004/2005. Awwww yahhhh ... :eek: :cool:

My friend Randy has his Supra up at CTC now. It's the red 95 with the Bomex front bumper and some other fancy imported body kit. It should be a monster highway car. Bored block, Carillo rods, T04R single, NOS, and all the other sheeyot he had before he started this mess. It had better be quick, he's been waiting on it for 15 months. It was 'fast' enough before, but now there is no tellin'. :eek: However, he's a major tool with more money than sense.

I was riding with Randy one night on Loop 12. Alongside the Supra pulls a 96 Vette LT4 with, unbeknownst to us at the time, a huge shot of NOS. The Vette pulled his Supra so hard I thought we had blown a front-mount int. tube or maybe a head gasket. That loss convinced him that he needed to go single. I believe the Vette belonged to a customer or an employee of The Horsepower Store.

Anyway, I'm sure he'd love to hook up with you guys and do some of your crazed highway runs. :eek: Us normal people prefer stoplight to stoplight. :D Ah, to each his own. Cya 'round.

Bright Red. It also had the 17x11 (?) ZR1 wheels. Nice car. He was toolin' around with James Crone's '00 pewter Formula Ram-Air, right after James sold it. Later, I heard that the same Formula became The HP Store's drag car.

I rode over to what is now Fastech with Andi and Jordan to dyno his then-'new' 98 Quicksilver. He was so disappointed to have only 400 rwhp uncorrected. Now look at the kid. Jeez. Jordan had a black 93 BPU+ with the deleted-option spoiler and 18-inch Manaray's. He sold it to a guy named Jerry. Any names ring a bell? Anyway, off to bed.

I ran into him a couple of months later he was BPU and was pretty happy with where he placed his HKS BOV, that thing sounded awesome .... I raced his friends Black TA and pulled on him with my BPU Supra at the time .. that TA was pretty quick .. I havent seen either of them for a while now. What does Gino drive now days? Those other guys you mentioned sounds familar but man its been a while since I have hung out with the Supra crew. I remeber that TT Viper from Hennessey went out to one of the meets and a couple of 9 & 10sec Supras wanted some but that guy didnt want to race.

I think CTC has been around for about 2 or so years. the head mechanic/ part owner's name is Wayne Pots.. or "Homer" as the DSM guys called him and he is a BAD ass with just about any car he touches.. they have a VW golf that wieghs about 2200lbs and made 400ish rwhp on pump..

after gino totals his PHR supra, i believe he bought another supra and was STOCK for a long time. the wreck shook him up i was told. But i hear he has finaly started modding it:) who knows.. i only met him onces or twice.

yea, that was Sean Burt. Last time i talked to him, he still worked at dallas mustang. HE used to own the pewter formula that is now the HPS WS6.

Also the guy that you are talked about that had the Jade Supra is Ben Gratt. it had stock polished wheels the whole time he had it as for as i know. He sold it and got a Steel gray Viper. I think he got rid of that already and got a Z06.

Has anyone been to the new PHR shop right below Decatur yet? It's nice and clean and pretty huge. I don't am not to happy with a V8 for th enew supra, the 2JZ engine will be a hard one to replace.

2JZ-GE + PHR GT60 turbo @15psi = 1 fast four door sedan. :D

There is this one guy I met out there at PHR that had a Silver Supra that lives in Arlington I forgot what year model and what his name was he was thinking of getting a Single ... Do you guys know who im talking about? Hey White_lightning I went to that one Supra meet back in '00 and saw Paisley Supra, Rado Supra, and the UPR Supra ... man those turbos sound damn good!!! I recorded it all but my older bother recorded over it when he went of vacation :( ::sniff sniff:: Oh well .. Oooh yeah thats when some guy with a Blue Supra with a body kit from North Dallas wrecked infront Jimmy while going up there ... he was ok but his car had some bad damage done to the FMIC and Front Bumper, it was up at New Concept for a lil while ... Did you ever meet that guy D.?

not personaly.. but i know alot of ppl who used to use them.. but i would rather not get into it.. dusty is o.k. though.. he has been pretty helpfull with a shifter rMA i am going through.

Dusty is a nice guy. He is running one of his supras this weekend in Houston. Don't know which one though. I ask about PHR cause I plan on going for small Stage I turbo upgrade there. They have good experience with the 2JZ-GE motor and they are local. A little pricey but I was impressed with the 2JZ-GE four door they TC'd.

personaly.. i would go to CTC.. it seems MANY of local supra ppl are shying away from PHR and going to cTC.. all i know is.. 99% of the local supra list members who activly race and mod their cars all ONLY go to CTC.. its your choice.. but i would sugest calling and talking to Kyle @ ctc before going to phr.

Whoa! Wait a minute .. you can put the Supra Engine in the new IS300s? :eek: I know they did it in the SC300s but dang in a IS300 thats bad ass .. Any pics, mpegs, or timeslips with a IS300 w/ the 2JZ-GE?

IS300. I was hinting the four door. :D PHR seems good cause they have done about 5 of them already. Meaning they have experience with the IS300 behavior and response to the gains in HP. If CTC has something for the IS300, then I will look into it. I was jsut at the new PHR facility this past weekend for an IS300 meet. They demo'd 2 turbo'd IS300's with Jarrett's pushing well 500rwhp. I like thier Stage I kit that puts about 380rwhp that is completely bolt on. The stage II requires headgasket and removal of the cat, etc...

I wil check out CTC, thing is are they willing to make such a sleeper for the right price.

um. the 2jz-ge is the NA supra motor.. it comes sTOCK in a is300

the 2jz-gte is the low compression monster that is in the TT supra.
PHR is workin on a VERY VERY expensive package to transplant it into an is300.

i dont know if CTC has messed or will mess with an is300... call them and see. i do know they are builting a MONSTER sc300.. built 2jz-gte, t88h + bottle:)

Only if I ever wanted to reach the 900+rwhp levels, that's what I would do, then that leads to removing the IRS, and other things jsut compnesate that gain. $7k is not that bad though for a stage I will a promised delviery of 300+ rwhp as I have seen this in person. That's enough forme as I am only doing 182rwhp w/ 190lbs bone stock.

I don't knwo about taht actual guy. There are only about less than 25 Turbo'd IS300 in the US. Most of these were custom fabircations. Though, word is getting out and the trend is catching on. With the 2002 5spd now out, there will be more Turbo kits available and the beauty about it is that it's a complete bolt on. the 2JZ-GE/GTE eninge is a strong one and can take a beating without internal mods. To be honest. There is not one TC'd IS300 in Dallas yet. Well, none that I know of. The closest one is at PHR and is Jarretts inwhich he himslef is pushing about 600rwhp. I think he is running it this weekedn in Houston for Drag War. Most of them are in Florida or California. That last IS300 is in Little Rock ARrkansa.

Thats cool DonkeyPunch thanks for the articles and looking up the mpeg for me. I knew that the had a SC Kit for the S2000 but I like definately like this set-up way better than that. I have had a Supra with 0 issues what so ever with the stock internals and I'm sure this engine is built with the same techniques. Keep us posted on your project ... I would like to hear how it goes for you. Good luck.
