View Full Version : Any 03 Cobras care to setup a friendly shootout with an Z06?

I recently witnesed an 03 Cobra with a chip, pulley and exhaust put down an astonishing 425ish RWHP and like 420ish RWTQ :eek:
Since they have been released, I have heard many compare the new 03 Cobra to the Z06 as far as performance etc.. and was wondering if anyone would care to setup a best 3 out of 5 match at Ennis this Friday and do some tollway runs in the late evening..
I will be drving an 2002 Z06 not stock - but I would love to have the opportunity to see how bad these things are on the street and the track in a friendly contest.. no smak talk - no cameras etc....

There's a fun and grudge at Denton Raceway this Friday night. Come out if you want to race a few on this board. Look me up. I'm in a red stock looking/sounding 93 coupe. ;)

Yea - it sounds like fun and I will be there.. although the Charger cars "should" pull better in the short game.. especially the Autos if they are making any...
I would still like to run some in the 1/4 mile and on the Highway from a roll - cause that truely tells which car is faster.. going from 40-140.. Just my opinion.. :D

heya.. naaa.. cant make it out this week but if all goes wetll Xstang will be bringing his 470+ish rwhp 03 cobra out.. and we are going to line them up.. you should have come out last time.. he was there too.

Hey Hitman, I have a 99 Cobra that is a little bit faster than the 03. Should give you a good idea of how they run, if interested. Email is a good idea, since I don't have time to go to Ennis right now ;)
Like yours, mine is not stock either.

It's black, wingless with the Cobra R chin spoiler, though lately that seems to becoming a fairly common color/combo around here!

sure i'll be at ennis aug. 23rd in a yellow 03 cobra.my 03 made 396 rwhp with bolt ons.i can't tell anyone one on this web site what it made with bust pulley and chip..it will be all over the net but i will say the dyno numbers were good.i ran 12.88 at enis a few weeks ago with out the boost pully i have not ran it yet with the new pully.:)

yea i work next to the rodeo at the hampton inn.we have changed our plans we are going to redline tonight.go to redline if you want to run.
