They are a bitch to get in.... Usually no matter what the job, they require a degree. But if you know someone you'll have a better chance...

that is the key, to know someone. My dad has work out there for almost 23 years now. He likes it, but he doesn't have a degree, if he did he would be making more money. I have been trying to get on out there, but I would be takeing a paycut if I did and hell now I'm working at a restraunt. I kinda of gave up trying. Oh well I guess I will just have to get a degree or something.:)

I used to work for them back in 1997. When I live in Research Triangle Park, NC. They were OK. Not what I thought it would be like. In NC, they had a contract to run the Environmental Protection Agency's computers. I felt that they were "behind the times" in their computer equipement. I stayed with them about 1 year, because they weren't paying very well.

Right now if you don't have a Bachelor's they are throwing your resume into a pile and not looking at it. Even the guys I know with Bachelor's aren't hearing from them for 6 or so months:eek:. Plus if you don't know anyone out there you are screwed.

Lockheed is one of those companies that isn't really hiring, they just post job openings to keep their name out there on the market, that way they can be really picky. Good luck to those who try.

well, when I was out there in Jan and they were ramping up for the JSF project, they were in the middle of moving 1500 users to other buildings to make room for new hires.

Of course these were all project related engineering positions that required top secret clearance.

How true, they are just taking resumes so they can be picky when they start hiring next year.
