Does anybody know what color wires are the power and memory on a 87 Fox body. I used a test light to find the hot wire but when I hooked up the stereo, it worked, only didnt keep memoy when I shut off the car. Please Help

ok,
2 wires figure into this, a yellow wire (power) and a red wire (accessory). Red is the wire that makes your stereo turn on when you turn the ignition. Yellow is the wire that keeps the memory of the unit.

The factory car wiring harness does not use the same color as standard AFTERMARKET stereo wires. When you're connecting an aftermarket deck to factory loose wires, you can not match colors.
