Completely depends on how fast you plan on running.

So what year is the car? I assume first gen Stang with the 289. My first car was a 65 Stang with a Hi-Pro 289... damn I loved that car. Looked like ass when I first got her... actually looked pretty much like ass when I was finished too, but she ran well! :D

its a 67. it has .60 bored over 289 :D. it feels strong and never been to a track. So i needed to know what safety things i need cause it has none as of now. im really curious of what it will run. as it sits now its only 2700 pounds im gonna get started on pulling things off to reduce more weight. im junking the hood, back seat, and any usable heavy things.

You on Mustang II brakes? LOL... my 65 was all drum... dear God that was scary... lots of throttle and little brakes makes for some NICE experiences.

You're gonna at least need some belts and a helmet. ;)

You can one run once no matter what stuff you have (gotta have seat belts though). If you need something like a helmet or anything else, they will tell you when you get your time.

No I actually don't know how much hit those rears can take before popping. Seems like someone told that the 9 inch out of a late 70's LTD will bolt right up though. Not completely sure...

Yeah drums SUCK! Even with that light of a car.
