The back pressure in the exhaust is pushing the waste gate open. I've ordered a larger spring the size of which is classified. ;)
Regarding a bigger turbo, I'm going to stick with the one I have. It's supposed to support 600hp. I've got bigger problems though. The 20psi spring that was originally in my waste gate along with a tuning error on my part popped a head gasket the first night I test drove it. I've had a blown head gasket all this time.
Let's see: It made 418rwhp/501rwtq on 4psi of boost, 5 degrees too little timing, and an AFR in the low 10s with a blown head gasket. You're putting a bottle on your car aren't you? ;)

I know you are. the ZO6 probably won't be here until August or Septmber so you have plenty of time to switch back to an auto! LOL

Come on, cut me some slack. :) Yea, but I had it for 8 years. You'll have had six different cars with twelve different combos in that length of time.
Regarding selling the "tin can".... Yea, it was stupid. I'd be running 9s N/A by now with a 306. Think of all the crying there would be around here!

I could probably take another 150lbs out of it with K-member, coil over and aluminum struts and shocks. As far as the motor, it probably would have picked up 3-4/10s with the heads and intake that I have on my car now. I had a GT40 lower on the old car. Now build up a 10,000RPM 306 with an R302 block and all of the light weight internal goodies, 13.5:1 compression, maxed out set of TFS-R heads and a hogan sheet metal intake and I'd have had a bad SOB! Woulda, coulda, shoulda......
