Front door speakers on a non-mach 460 stereo. Are they 5x7 or 6x8?
Thanks

I already have a set of Pioneer's. thanks for the replys
5x7 and 6x8 are the same thing. 5x7's have the ability to produce more midbass than most 61/2" because of larger cone surface. I sell 3 models of JL Audio, 2 models of Alpine, 1 model of MB Quart and 1 model of Eclipse 5x7 from $110pr to $399 for JL 5x7 components.

I've got some JL Audio 5 X 7's in my car and they sound awesome. Not sure if the 6 1/2's would sound any better but the 5 X 7's I'm sure are a lot easier to install since they are the factory size. Whatever you get make sure the magnet isn't to big as you might have a problem getting them to fit in the door properly without having to modifiy anything. Can't remember who told me that but it makes sense.

I was told the JL 5x7 components are nice, and I now find my self shopping for speakers again.
EW, Do you think i should go
a) build fiberglass pod for 6 1/2 components in doors
b) buy 5 x 7 coax, but really nice ones like JL, or possilby other brand
c) Buy that noew 5 x 5 JL componet set
I can build the pods/enclosures for the mid/high in mustang doors I just want it sounding right. Right now I have a RF 200.a 4 ch amp; still figuring if im going to run mix mono/stereo config to run whole car or not...
Any suggestions would be good

5x7's
There is no need to build anything for 5x7's to go into the door. We usually build a panel out of MDF for 5 1/4" or 6 1/2" drivers. The only bad part about doing a coax 5x7 is that the tweeter may be partially blocked by the door panel. If you look through the factory grille, it is not completely perforated so sound can pass through.

Where did you get your JL's? I am running cadence 5x7's now and I am thinking about trading for something that can handel more power.
