View Full Version : 5.7 vs. 5.7 vs.5.7(LS1 vs. blown Lt1 vs.LS1))

I was in my brother's white '00 Z-28 M6 with lid, filter, Shaner's S2, B&B muffler and tips. All three people involved in the race are friends and we all are cool with each other. The other 2 were a 97 z-28 A4 with a 9# Powerdyne, full exhaust, race setup and a 2001 Ram-Air M6 with lid, filter, Shaner's S2. We hit it from a 30 punch and the ram air and i put about three to four cars on the LT1 wrapping out 4th gear. I know it would have gotten me from a stop because he was on DR's with a stall and we the other two were on stock RSA's that are worn to shit. It was a fun race and more proof that Shaner's S2 TB's kick ass.

No, man it was just a race between friends. Now if for some ungodly reason i won the lottery and could buy a stroker and turbos then i would probably take you up on your request. But since that isn't going to happen i guess i'll stick to :eek: (as LT1 smokes my stock ass)

Stroker and turbos?? Hah.. My car ain't all that... It runs good enough to get me to work every day... As well as merge on the hwy... But that's about it.

The stroker and turbos are just to ensure a victory. But again would only happen if i won the lottery. Which has about not a damn chance of happening.

What the hell is Shaner's S2 TB's? :confused:

And why is a blown LT1 getting beat by bolt on LS1's? Shit I beat bolt on LS1's in my big ass boat (from a stop ;) ). And I'm 4,200 lbs, NA, and still a 350.

Tell your friend to take that restriction off his car ( the Powerdyne) and it will go faster. Those things suck ass. Just a $3,000.00 ram air kit that sucks.

Mark Shaner - a guy that ports throttle bodies for the LSx motors.

I would take the LT1 over and LS1. Stock vs. Stock the LS1 will beat the LT1 but the LT1 can take more more abuse when you want to get real serious. I'm sure Marsh will agree on that.
